Small cottage directly located at the North Sea

Our apartment is located in the former living area of an old and extensively renovated Gulfhof, at the foot of the dike, in the midst of a nature reserve. High ceilings, thick beams, large wooden windows with a great view into the East Frisian landscape and a modern decor with great attention to detail make this apartment a place to come down and relax. The space Becoming a ruin over the years, the project was finished in 2016 after 11 months of construction phase. During the renovation, much attention was paid to the preservation of charismatic details. The new window frames and doors were modeled on their 200-year-old models. The facade was elaborately cleaned, the joints cut out and re-laid in historically correct "muschelkalk". High ceilings, thick beams and the large rung windows characterize the appearance of the bright apartment. Modern furnishing, selected details and pictures by the artist Käthe Janssen from nerby town called Esens complete the charm of the apartment. Our terrace in the garden in front of the gable offers an unobstructed view of the surrounding bird and landscape conservation area. Garden furniture, sun umbrella and grill are available for use. Cooking enthusiasts will enjoy the fully equipped kitchen. Those who miss their coffee despite the East Frisian tea will be delighted by the Nespresso machine and milk frother. Bedroom 1 is a cuddly nest for couples. The second bedroom has two single beds, space for a cot and a play corner. A cozy dream bath with shower invites you to relax. Guest access Guests have the whole apartment at their disposal. The washing machine and dryer can be used in the laundry room for a small fee. Bicycles, prams or similar can be stored in the lockable closet belonging to the apartment. Other things to note If we can not welcome you in person, you will get the keys in our key-safe. The code will be communicated to you in time before arrival.
