Cornwall’s Forgotten Corner on the Rame Peninsula is perfect for relaxing and enjoying a holiday to remember. A designated area of outstanding natural beauty with so much to offer. There's a lot to do without wandering too far and a week could easily be lost exploring the charming streets, walking the famous coastline or relaxing on the beach. Walkers are spoilt for choice and can pick up the South West Coast Path in both directions. The calm sheltered bay is perfect for swimming, canoeing or paddle boarding. Mount Edgcumbe’s country park starts at the top of the village and you can walk to the famous 16th century house and visit its beautiful gardens. Take a ferry from Cawsand beach to the historic Barbican in Plymouth or from Cremyll to The Royal William Yard, buzzing with restaurants and artisan shops. Locally, there are five pubs, three coffee shops and a choice of places to eat in the evening. Crow's Nest is ideally placed for short stays for Passing Out Parades at Raleigh or weddings at Polhawn Fort or Mt Edgcumbe Park as well as a romantic break or maybe you just want to go off grid and relax and re wind. Below is a very secluded paved terrace with sun loungers and an outdoor bath for a truly relaxing experience whilst basking in the sun. Other things to note Our well stocked village shop has everything necessary to sustain life from fresh meat and fish, wine and snacks to everyday essentials. Opening hours 7 days a week from 9am to 7pm. The Old Bakery nearby, sells fresh bread, croissants and pastries, serving breakfast and is famous for their pizza night takeaways on Mondays. The village of Millbrook, which is just over the hill, has a Fruit and Veg shop, Co-op (open till 10pm), Spar, Indian Restaurant, takeaways can be delivered for a nominal charge, and Fish and Chip shop. The Coop has a cash point outside. Further afield there is a Sainsburys In Torpoint. On the peninsula we are very lucky to have a wide range of excellent pubs, restaurants and cafes. The Devonport Inn and The Bay both have coastal views, booking advisable. If you fancy a walk, make a beeline for The Canteen at Maker. Situated in a nissan hut in an old Army Camp. Incredible views and fabulous food. The Cliff Top Cafe at Whitsand Bay is great for a delicious breakfast and a fabulous beach walk along the 3 mile beach, part of the marine conservation zone. The Stables at Mt Edgcumbe is great and the park is well worth a visit.
