A well located California style Mid-Century modern property for small groups and families. Nice open living room with large windows, adjacent to dining room and kitchen. Three balconies, living room balcony with view towards ocean, kitchen balcony with view over Mount Esja. One of Reykjavik's architectural gems. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms, one shower. Living room, dining room and kitchen. Basement is a separate area, not included. An extra room can be added, for more comfort or 2 extra guests (up to 7 persons total in house). This is a family owned property with a separate apartment in the basement with separate entrance, inhabited by one person. The owners live in a house nearby. We are very willing to helping you out enjoy your stay. We take your privacy seriously. A nice quiet neighborhood named Laugarás hill, built in the 60's and 80's, close to Laugardalur valley and short distance (7-10 minute drive) from downtown Reykjavik. It has a cinema named Laugarasbio, within walking distance. Also a great Spa and Swimming pool nearby, Laugar Spa / World Class in Laugardalur. Only a short 7-10 minute drive to downtown Reykjavik. Bus no 14 stops right outside with a short convenient bus ride to downtown, Kringlan mall, Laugar Spa and Grandi area. By car, you are very close to Saebraut road, which takes you to/from Keflavik Airport, downtown Reykjavik, out of town, wherever you want to go. Reykjavik City Card is a great value, offering unlimited bus rides, swimming pool visits and trips to various museums. Gray Line Bus Terminal, Bonus Grocery Store and Vinbudin Liquor Store are located next to each other, 1.5 km away in Holtagardar. Car rental is recommended although it is not necessary. Early arrivals If arriving by flight in the morning, we recommend going to nearby Laugar Spa, where you can unwind and rest in saunas, pools and hot tubs, as well as taking a nap by a fireplace in a relaxing area, before checking in at 3 pm. Laugar Spa is also a large Gym with a restaurant and a Joe and the Juice cafe. If baggage storage is needed, there are lockers at nearby Gray Line Bus Terminal in Holtagardar. The nearest supermarket is Bónus and bakery Jói Fel, as well as Vínbúðin liquor store, all located next to Gray Line Bus Terminal in Holtagarðar.
