Villa Philinna, offers a hospitable environment of high aesthetics with breathtaking unforgettable views of the famous Saint Peter’s beach. It consists of a fully equipped house constructed with our love and care, implementing a brilliant architectural design, ensuring privacy and relaxation as well as complementing the beautiful landscape surrounded by aromatic plants. The space Villa Philinna is one of our two rental villas in our complex, each designed as a complete private home. Wisely unfolding on our large and beautiful estate, 4 acre, that was meticulously designed and appointed by our architects at different levels, it is making use of our land’s privileged hillside and position, for ensuring stunning views as well as privacy and rest for its guests. The name Philinna, (borrowed from the ancient Greek playwright Aristophanes), signifying shelter and love, perfectly expresses the quality and elegance of the villa. You will truly feel at home here. You will also appreciate the location in which the villa has been constructed, since you will enjoy being very close to many of the most prominent beaches of the island as well as beautiful villages, sightseeing landmarks and easy to access walking trails. Our villa is being developed in two levels (connected by interior and exterior staircases). It is noteworthy to state that the stone parts of the home have been built with the talent and skills of the builders, using the stone which was dug up from the ground below and around the home. The result is a harmoniously structured home built with natural local materials, which will offer you the privacy and relaxation you need. At the ground floor there is a cozy living room, creatively decorated with inspiration and style, a dining room with a fireplace and a fully equipped kitchen (incl. a dishwasher), a bedroom (with a double bed) and fully equipped bathroom. The high aesthetics interior space of the first level (of 85 sq.m) continues into a breathtaking large outdoor space which includes a spacious designed pergola with a sitting area, comfortable stone benches spread all over the area, a large outdoor dining table and outdoor furniture. A private outdoor barbeque area with a traditional grill and stove is inviting you to spend cozy evening time with your friends and family. From there you can enjoy one of the most spectacular panoramic views of Saint Peter’s bay and nearby islands allowing you to fully enjoy an unforgettable dream like scenery in a serene and completely relaxing and rejuvenating holiday environment. On the upper level (50 sq.m interior space), there are two bedrooms, (with double beds) and a bathroom. This level has a large, independent veranda fully covered by a grand pergola with comfortable stone benches also offering a fantastic sea view. There is parking, wi-fi, air-conditioning and autonomous heating in the home. This villa can comfortably host up to 6 persons and is ideal for couples, friends and families. We are proud for our lovely renowned nearby sandy beaches, but we also offer for your further enjoyment our grand swimming pool and its beautifully constructed area. Thus, at a carefully selected location of our property, with a breathtaking scenic view, we have also built a spacious swimming pool area for the use of all guests from our two villas. So, indulge yourself more, in this majestic area, which includes a high-quality large swimming pool, a great porch with broad stone benches and many sun loungers. As our complex is built on a hillside which offers the privilege of a stunning view, note that to get to the Villa there is a final 300m uphill steep road that is cement paved. The use of a car is a must. To get to St.Peter’s beach, one has to walk or drive 600 m downhill, making the distance from the house to the majestic beach a matter of minutes. The home is just 2 km away from the island’s port “Gavrio”, and just 5 km away from the lively village of Batsi. There is a supermarket 1,2 km away, a grocery shop 700 m away and lovely taverns just 800 m away from home. We also highlight that apart from more than 40 magnificent swim beaches, water sport centers, culture sites (ancient, byzantine and modern), culinary delights and spectacular mountains, Andros island is among the best in Europe for hiking with more than 160 km of marked routes, 100 km certified hiking routes and 15 days of guaranteed hiking quality (info: at androsroutes) through quintessential eastern Mediterranean landscapes with wild flowers, watermills, old farm houses, byzantine churches and monasteries. Other things to note Andros is one of the most beautiful and diverse cycladic islands. Apart from exquisite beaches (more than thirty), this is an island of culture and of the arts. The Goulandris Museum at the chora of andros is a world class museum which hosts each year high caliber artists. Also the Archaelogical Museum and the Museum of Paleopolis exhibit the past of ancient andros, and kydonieos museum specializes in modern greek painters. Andros has also numerous monasteries dating to the byzantine times with many noteworthy icons. The island is a paradise for walkers all year round. There are signed walks all over the island. Andros island is amongst the best in Europe for hiking, with 160 km marked routes in total, 100km certified hiking routes, 15 days of guaranteed hiking quality (Andros routes) through quintessential eastern Mediterranean landscapes with wild flowers, watermills, old farm houses, byzantine churches and monasteries.Just 5 minutes away (by car) from the villa, Agios Petros is an excellent beach for surfing with an experienced surfing center (rents and lessons) Culinary pleasures are also abundent with formal restaurants, gastro tavernas and simple , but indeed gourmet, beach tavernas. For our guests that want to dine at the villas without having to cook, the near by well known Yannoulis tavern will be more than happy to cater. With regards to medi care there is a medical center at Gavrio, 3 km away from the villas , and a very experienced doctor who serves that area of the island. A dentist is also available. There are a lot of very scenic villages in land, some of them with great sea views . Being traditionally an agricultural, fisheries and shipowners community, Andros has escaped from massive tourism and appeals to the more sophisticated visitors.
