Beautiful cottage, with an amazing sea and mountain view. Located on a small peaceful village, the stone house has a bedroom with 1 double bed, a fully equipped kitchen, 1 bathroom and living-room with a wood-stove. The space Casa da Talha is situated in the northeast part of Sao Miguel Island, at Sao Pedro Nordestinho, Azores, a place that dates from the settlement of the Sao Miguel island. This accommodation was built in the first half of the last century, in accordance with the traditional architecture of the area. Built for the owners own home it was, however, never lived in by its owner. It was bought from his descendants in an abandoned state and it was then adapted has a country house. Its original architecture was maintained but a contemporary additional part was added on in order to give it a covered outside living area. It has a large glazed in area from where it is possible to admire the well cared garden and the ever present ocean. At night fall one can enjoy beautiful scenery, inviting for a “dolce fareniente”, making this spot a little secret in this pleasant house. There is also a barbecue in this area (please note that the access to this area is done by the exterior of the house). The welcoming interior decoration with shades of blue, contrasts the pale colours of the walls and the basalt stones. Pieces of traditional furniture in harmony with other modern pieces create a very comfortable environment. The cottage has a double room, a living room with a wood heater for the coldest days, a modern kitchen containing a traditional wood oven and a bathroom, make up the inside of this house, where noting has been forgotten for the daily use of the Guests and where these can feel “at home far from home”. This stone house also has satellite TV, DVD player, Hi-FI system, small library and games (chess, draughts and cards). Outside, a croquet court and 2 bicycles, to explore the surroundings, complete the leisure offer. At their arrival, the guests will find bread and homemade jams, milk, coffee, tea, fruit, water, butter and cheese. In each rural house there are also some basic grocery items. Guest access For the entertainment of its guests, the Casa da Talha provides, at no additional cost, WI-FI internet, satellite TV, DVD player, HI-FI sound system, a small library, indoor games, two bicycles and a croquet court.
