Comfortable, ground-floor-only barn conversion in a quiet rural village. Open plan, light-filled & spacious home with French doors leading to a private walled courtyard and garden with outdoor seating - a safe, enclosed space for dogs (BUT NOT SUITABLE FOR CATS). Perfectly situated for those who enjoy visiting châteaux and other monuments, the vineyards of both northern & southern Burgundy, natural outdoor spaces & walking or cycling (eg. Morvan Park), etc. The space Small converted barn, formerly used to house goats, all on ground level with its own walled garden, 1 bedroom & 1 shower room. Located on the edge of a typical Burgundian village, in a rural river valley with livestock & arable farming, dotted with hedges, woodland & the occasional vineyard on the neighbouring hillside. The rented property has its own stone-walled garden. Converted in 2011, the “Vieille Chèvrerie” is cosy, modern & comfortable, a single-storey holiday rental designed for 2 people. It has a professionally-fitted, fully equipped kitchen, one double bedroom & a shower room with large modern shower. There are no steps into the building or once inside; the design is open plan, with a large living area & plenty of light provided by large south-facing windows & French doors leading out into the garden. “La Vieille Chèvrerie” can accommodate people of slightly-reduced mobility, but the gravel driveway is not wheelchair-friendly & help would be needed to use the shower cubicle. Enjoying the tranquillity of a rural setting, it is nonetheless within easy reach of some important visitor sites, the A6 & A5 autoroutes & Montbard's high-speed TGV train station (journey time to Paris is just over 1 hour). Dogs are very welcome, provided they don't get up onto the bed or other furniture. Not suitable for cats. Parking within your own walled garden-courtyard. Owner usually on site for help or advice, if needed; otherwise you'll be left in peace to enjoy your stay! The owner does not park in or use the courtyard garden area, which is for the exclusive use of guests. Guest access Private courtyard garden for exclusive use of clients.
