An old fisherman's house on the small Gulf of Fondachello, La Casa Blu is one of 5 apartments of what was the residence of a Sicilian fishing family. The houses, completely independent, are at a distance of three meters from the sea. The spectacular terrace overlooking the sea of Casa Blu is private. The sandy beach is ideal for children. A short walk from the station to easily reach Palermo or Cefalu'. The space The House on the Water was built by my great-grandfather in 1912. I grew up in this house with my grandparents, always breathing the scent of the sea. Over the years, I have learned to love this place that is very dear to me, which today I share with those who have decided to discover Sicily and spend a quiet holiday. The house, an old fishermen's dwelling, remains a simple place, which we have tried to make cozy and comfortable. The houses are completely independent, but the common patio is often an opportunity for a glass of wine or a chat with the other guests! The itinerant service with a truck of bread, fruit and vegetables is folkloric... ideal for those who want to stay on the beach lounger! The charm of the residence is certainly marked by the presence of the sea... so close that it becomes music for those who have the ability to listen... And if the sound of the sea dominates that of thoughts, then you are in the right place! In the summer months from June to August, it could be very lively. Guest access The house is accessed through a patio/garden, which is overlooked by other independent houses. The house has a terrace overlooking the sea for exclusive use, which is accessed by a staircase outside the house. The house also has a veranda overlooking the patio/garden, shared with the other houses on the ground floor. The beach is frequented by local people and from June 1 to August 31 it is partly occupied by a typical restaurant on the beach. Other things to note Don't forget your fishing rod... you are so close to the sea that you can fish from the terrace of your home!! - During the winter period there may be maintenance work outside the apartment (January and February) - During the summer, the beach can be very crowded.
