Beautiful stone gite in rural Brittany, sleeps 4

Set in beautiful Brittany countryside, our lovely stone gite sleeps up to 4 adults. 3 minutes drive from the nearest village, with 2 bars, a supermarket, baker, butcher and micro-brewery, yet rural enough for peace, tranquility and wildlife, with views of fields and woodlands. Close to Malestroit, La Gacilly & Rochefort-en-Terre, and only 45 minutes from the sea! A perfect couples retreat, but also ideal for groups of friends and small families (travel cot, highchair & stairgate available). The space Le Grenier is a bright and spacious 2 bedroom traditional Breton stone cottage, located at the end of our longere, with a stylish, comfortable interior. The cottage overlooks a sunny and charming 18th century stone porcherie and original bread oven to the front, and has a private, enclosed garden to the rear, with its own barbecue and outdoor seating. Situated at the heart of our 7 acres of wildflower meadows, fields and woodland, it enjoys views of beautiful countryside with abundant wildlife, yet is only three minutes drive from the nearest village. The cottage can sleep 4, and has an airy open-plan kitchen, dining room and lounge on the ground floor, with a wood-burning stove for those chillier evenings; upstairs a romantic double room with Juliet balcony, a generous twin-bedded room, and a family shower room. Our private garden has a terraced area for dining, with BBQ, table, chairs and parasol, plus access to our surrounding fields and woodland. There is also a washing line. For the children, there is a small outdoor play area, with swings, climbing area, and a slide, plus we have plenty of outdoor games, like boules, palets, swingball, football, frisbees, etc that you are welcome to use. The children also enjoy exploring our woodland walk. Please note: there are 3 friendly cats that live at Gayon with us. However they are not allowed in the gite, and we ask guests do not encourage them inside as following guests may be allergic to cat hair. Guest access Please note, Le Grenier shares an entrance hall with another of our cottages, La petite grange. Guests are welcome to explore our fields and small woodland. Other things to note Cleaning: We do expect the gite to be left as you found it, clean and tidy, otherwise a supplementary cleaning fee of 30€ will be charged.
