Best location, right in the center of Madrid! In the famous "Barrio de las Letras" - the literary neighborhood. Beautiful, clean apartment with lots of light in a historic building with elevator. Centrally-located with short walking distance (<10 mins) to all the major museums, Plaza Mayor, Royal Place, Puerta del Sol, Gran Via, Parque del Retiro, Atocha train station, etc. You will love the apartment and our location! This is a beautiful apartment on a very popular street in Madrid, right by Plaza de Santa Ana in the Barrio de las Letras - where Cervantes was born. It's in a beautiful, historic building that has been remodeled and is all new inside with a modern elevator. We are also surrounded by great restaurants and cafes. The apartment is on the 3rd floor. It has 2 single beds next to each other, and the living room also has 2 sofa beds. The bathroom is clean and bright, and all of our linens are white and soft. We have a well-equipped kitchen for your use with everything needed if you decide to make lunch or dinner. I have had many guests and most of them, when they arrive, say that it looks just like the pictures. We have modern appliances (washer/dryer, stovetop, microwave, A/C, TV, refridgerator), fast Wi-Fi, and everything else you may need for a comfortable stay! Guests will have private access to the whole apartment. I like to go meet my guests and welcome them to their little home in Madrid. If for some reason I can not meet them when they arrive, Alicia, the lady that helps me and is very nice meets them and gives them the keys. Our apartment is in the Literary Neighborhood. El Barrio de las Letras. Home of Cervantes, Lope de Vega and Quevedo. Calle de Huertas, our street, is very popular and you can read poems written right on the street, as soon as you walk out of your home in Madrid. We are surrounded by lots of great restaurants. Right by plaza de Santa Ana and Plaza del Angel. Walking distance from Plaza del Sol, Plaza Mayor. You can also walk to Atocha train station. From where you can take the AVE to Barcelona, Sevilla, Cordoba and many other cities of Spain. You can also take day trips to Toledo or Segovia. Perfect Location There is a metro station less than 5 minutes walking. There is a taxi stand right at the corner of the street. The nearest public parking garage is "Parking de Santa Ana," right underneath the plaza around the corner from our street. From the AIRPORT to the apartment: TAXI: From the airport by taxi, it's about 30 minutes and it costs 30 euros. It's a flat fee into the city. This would be the easiest and fastest way. TRAIN (Cercanías): If you arrive to T4, you can take the direct train (cercanías) to atocha, the C1 line. BUS: No matter what terminal you arrive to, you can take the Yellow Express Airport Bus that takes you to the Atocha Train Station. From ATOCHA Train Station to the apartment: TAXI: From the Atocha Train Station, it's a very short taxi ride, around 5-10 minutes. If you decide to walk, it's about 15 minutes. METRO: From the Atocha Train Station, you can take the metro to Antón Martín, which is 2 stops away. From there, it's less than 3 minutes walking to the apartment. We look forward to hosting you! We are flexible with check-in and check-out times to accommodate our guests as much as possible. We always try to make it easy for our guests! I will personally message you after your reservation is completed to answer any questions you may have, and confirm your time of arrival. We meet each guest in-person when first checking in! If guests arrive early, we can keep your bags in the building while you explore the city. If guests need to arrive after 9:00 PM, I ask them to please give Alicia (she will be at the apartment meeting with guests initially) 25 Euros, as a kind gesture for staying up late waiting to check them in.
