Pisa, with her world famous & iconic Leaning Tower, is just 20 minutes away and clearly visible from the houses, sun terrace, swimming pool and olive grove. Lucca, with her immaculate medieval centre, fantastic summer music festival and exquisite boutiques is also just a 20 minute drive away. Florence is an hour away and the coast is 30 minutes away. With the many flights direct into Pisa, La Lucertola suits all tastes and needs. Balconies which offer spectacular panoramic views over Pisa, the Leaning Tower and the Mediterranean. The two houses are next door to each other, totally self-contained and can be rented individually or together for larger parties. We have created a beautiful new swimming pool and luxurious lounging zone. The early arrival and late departure of the warm and sunny days means that the pool is open from early May until late October. In keeping with the beautiful nature that surrounds us, the pool is filled with lightly salted spring water, so there is no need for chlorine. The water feels like silk on the skin. The lounging zone is on two levels; in front of the pool, the area is paved with stone, furnished with sun loungers, shaded with the branches of an ancient olive tree and screened by flowering wisteria and Mediterranean plants. At pool level there is a hard wood decking area with sun loungers, shaded wooden pergola and a unique poolside spring water shower which comes directly out of an ancient olive tree. The whole area enjoys stunning views of olive grove, forest, field, villages, valley and sea. It is perfect for sunbathing, evening drinks and after dark swimming in the illuminated pool. The whole area is also covered by Wi Fi. There is a fabulous and ample sun and shade terrace outside both farmhouses each furnished with shade pergola, table and 6 chairs and sun loungers. Ideal for relaxing, sunbathing and dining. There is a barbeque area and wood fired oven which is great fun! Wood is provided free of charge. Each farmhouse is suitable for 2 / 6 people. Children are most welcome. Cots, high chairs, stair gates and extra foldaway beds can be provided at no extra charge. Towels and linen provided.
