You climb from a comfortable staircase, without elevator, up to the second floor, then a few more steps and you find yourself on the terrace. It is advisable to travel light or warn in time to arrange a porterage service. You find yourself immersed in a well-kept “garden” overlooking the most beautiful monuments of Lecce: a lush green corner, with begonias, ferns, cyclamens and even an olive tree in a large vase, terracotta jars here and there and stones carved by the Lecce sculptor Nino Della Notte and the students of his school. Under a gazebo of white straw there is a table with iron chairs and comfortable armchairs to live en plein air every moment of the day: from breakfast to aperitif, to watch glowing sunsets or enjoy dinner by candlelight, in a muffled atmosphere, while the city with its lights and sounds lives all around.
