Runswick Bay - Top Gallant - with great sea views

Top Gallant and is down in the Bay. The Bay is a small clutch of largely whitewashed cottages and is unique. We have a great south facing veranda with amazing views. The cottage faces south with views right across the bay. Bedding and towels provided. Free parking pass for the (“Homeowners car park). 3 nights minimum booking. No Pets. The property is not suitable for mobility problems due to steps. Check in 3pm. Check out 10.30am. I charge no cleaning fee but please leave tidy. The space The cottage comes with a parking pass for the car park (which is about 5 mins walk from the cottage). Although this is a one bedroomed rental there is a small second room that can be used to store your luggage etc. COTTAGE NOTES - TOP GALLANT Runswick Bay includes the village at the top of the bank (upper Runswick) and the village down in the Bay (lower village). As you reach the upper village take the road down into the Bay (it will look very steep but it is safe). At the bottom of this bank there is a mini roundabout. Turn left at this roundabout and drive the single lane road along to the “the turning circle” (passing The Royal Pub on your left). Pull up at the very end of the road to unload You are allowed park here for around 15 to 20 mins. It is very important that you don’t park in the turning cycle itself (you need to be beyond it - because this is what makes the system work). HOW TO FIND TOP GALLANT : Proceed down the path at the end of unloading point. Turn first left with a walled garden to your right. This will take you along the back of High Chapel (a white painted property) Then proceed up the steps. Go past cottages - “Alice Hill” “The Pad” and “The Tackle” Turn left immediately at The Tackle and you will see the steps of Top Gallant – go up the stone steps and then up small metal stairs (on the left). `Top Gallant has a bright turquoise front door. THE CAR PARK : the car park for our parking pass is called the LOWER VILLAGE HOUSEHOLDERS PERMITS ONLY (back to the mini roundabout and turn left and sharp right (you with see the home owners signage). The car parks in Runswick are very heavily monitored so you must have the pass in your dashboard. (If you are staying in August the permit car park could be full - If so, you are allowed to use the pass in the public car park). I should also mention that 1 November to 1 March the public car park is free of charge and you can park there obviously without using the pass (which means you can park up and not have to go to the house for the pass). ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TIMES : You can gain access at 3.00 pm on the day of your arrival and we ask that at the end of your break you vacate by 10.30 am prompt. Provided: Bedding, Towels, liquid soap, a pack (which includes tea towel, bin bags and washing up sponge), We have Nespresso coffee machine and we do leave some pods. However if you love your coffee you could bring some pods. They are available in all supermarkets. There is also a great hairdryer at the cottage. Guest access The whole cottage. Other things to note Runswick Bay/the cottage is not suitable to a person with mobility problems. There are steps up to the house, steps in the house and a spiral staircase.
