Loire Valley chateau with pool

The chateau de la Plaine in Savigny sous Faye is a magnificent and comfortable chateau in the Loire Valley/Poitou with beautiful views, swimming pool and large enclosed park. This castle sleeps up to 16 persons in 9 bedrooms/6 baths. It is a perfect starting point for visiting the world renowned Loire Valley castles and vineyards, medieval towns, outdoors markets, as well as the Futuroscope/Aquascope and the Puy du Fou attractions parks, or just resting in a peaceful environment. The space With a truly exceptional setting with glorious views, the chateau de la Plaine is a large comfortable chateau with modern amenities that can sleep up to 16 persons in 9 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. Please note that the rental price is for an occupancy of 16 persons. For additional guests, please check with owner. Please note that the chateau is a private residence and that complying with house rules is expected. The chateau is large and is perfect for large groups that want to get together without the accommodations being crowded. - There are 2 master suites that comprise a large bedroom with a double bed, a smaller bedroom in one of the towers with 2 single beds, and a full bathroom (toilets, bathtub and separate shower). - There are 3 double rooms, each with a double bed and an ensuite bathroom (toilets + shower). - There is one bedroom with a single bed and an ensuite bathroom(toilets + shower). - There is a bedroom with two single beds on the ground floor (no ensuite bathroom, but right next to the groundloor guest toilets). The ground floor has a large, fully equipped eat-in kitchen, a formal dining room, a living room with a working fireplace (logs are provided), a library, and a playroom stocked with toys (lego, playmobil, etc.). There are 2 cots and a high chair in the chateau. The chateau is a perfect starting point for visiting the Loire Valley castles. There are many old abbeys and medieval towns (Chinon, Loudun, Richelieu) in the area and the chateau is located close to the Futuroscope theme park with its brand new water park called Aquascope (lots of rides for all ages). The Puy du Fou historical theme park is not too far away as well. There are many wine tasting places in the area (Chinon, Saumur, Bourgueil, Haut Poitou), a wonderful small open air market with local producers in the village, and gourmet restaurants are nearby as well. If you are into more active pursuits, the area is great for biking (the old railroad line has been turned into a 30 mile cycling path through nature), golf, horseback riding (there are several riding places around), canoing (on the Vienne river), waterskiing, zipping, or paintball. Hot air ballon rides are available nearby (you can fly over the chateau!). A day by the seaside at La Rochelle is also a possibility. Guest access Guests have access to a 10mx5m pool (opens mid May depending on the weather) in a secluded and fenced area, a barbecue, a ping pong table, and outdoor furniture for eating outside as well as loungers. Tennis courts in the village 2 miles away are also accessible to guests. Inside the chateau, there is a couple TVs and a HIFI system as well as a grand piano. Please note that early checkin requests can be considered depending on the occupancy of the chateau the previous night. However, please note that the chateau is NOT accessible prior to the agreed time for luggage storage or access to toilets since the cleaning crew needs to be focused on their tasks. Other things to note Please note that in the months when heating is required, a flat rate of 80 euros per day is to be paid upon arrival.
