Wake up to fresh pastries, coffee, and tea. Walk right outside the door, down the street to Spruce Cape Trail - one of the most scenic trails in town. Located at the end of the road, next to the forest, this is a peaceful setting for your stay in Kodiak. This cozy home is located near shopping, restaurants, beaches, trails, and more. The cabin is a comfortable 1,000 square foot home with a large, fully-equipped kitchen and island. You'll find the island is perfect for cooking a wonderful locally-sourced meal and gathering around in the evening. Enjoy high-speed wifi, a large TV with streaming for your favorite movies and shows. There are two full-sized bathrooms; one with a tub for littles. You'll find a freezer for storing your catch in the summertime. The bedding is high quality with cozy sheets and duvets that you'll want to relax into at the end of a day exploring the island. With black-out curtains you'll actually get some zzzzs. We interact with our guests before arrival through messaging on Airbnb. Otherwise, we value your privacy and will be available if needed by messenger. We live next door in the two-story blue house. In the cabin, you'll find menus for local restaurants, a map to activities on the island and much more to make your stay a memorable one. The neighborhood is quiet, peaceful, and very friendly. The cabin is located at the end of the street. For the adventurous traveller, you'll find a trail leading through the woods to the Spruce Cape trailhead. If you prefer, you can walk down Wolverine, catch a trail through to Woodland, and find the proper trailhead for Spruce Cape. It's a stunning walk to go on every evening. We recommend renting a car so that you can cruise all over town and explore the streams and beaches out the road.
