Set off the back road in Vaimaanga Casa del sol is true to its name – house in the sun. Two tastefully appointed 3 bedroom villas offer spacious open plan (al fresco) living and two en suite bathrooms. Each villa can sleep up to 7 adults. The two Villas share a pool which is set in beautifully landscaped gardens. The property is located 400m from some of the best beaches and snorkeling spots in Rarotonga, and boasts beautiful views of the mountains. The space BEDROOMS The first bedroom offers a King size bed with a private en suite bathroom. The bathroom is fully tiled. An open shower with rain shower head compliments custom designed vanities which offer perfect storage for your personals – no need to unpack your vanity! The second bedroom offers a king size bed and shares a bathroom with the bunk room. This is the perfect configuration for a family with children allowing parents some privacy, as the bathroom separates this bedroom from the bunk room, while having the family together. The bathroom features a free standing bath tub with an over bath rain shower, set beside a large window. The bunk room is dominated by a custom made bunk bed with a queen size lower bed and king single upper – set horizontally to minimise imposing on the lower bed. Bedrooms are fitting with classic built in wardrobes which offer ample hanging and drawer storage space as well as a handy bench for your suitcase … if you think unpacking is a waste of your precious time in paradise! All bedrooms are fitted with overhead fans and mosquito screening over windows. We use only 100% cotton towels and bed linen as well as luxury full size pillows. All our beds are from the Sleepyhead Elegance plush range to ensure your nights are as fun as your days. Most beds also offer the option of being split into singles should you require. KITCHEN AND LIVING The bedrooms all open onto a large covered deck which is central to the villa. At the heart of the living area is a sturdy 8 seater dining table as well as a relaxing L shaped outdoor couch over looking the pool and garden. The deck is fitted with ceiling fans and appropriate lighting to make the most of the warm tropical nights. A smaller indoor living area offers a TV with more comfortable seating which leads off the kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped with good quality wares and as well as the standard oven, gas hob, full size fridge, microwave and includes a dishwasher and other small appliances. We understand the importance of having great quality utensils and appliances when self catering and have selected these to make the most of your home away from home. Guest access OUTDOORS The property is set in a landscaped garden with splendid views of the Vaimaanga (water mountains) a seasonal stream borders to the West which adds to the tranquillity of the setting and excitement for young explorers. There are numerous seasonal fruit trees (coconut, Jack fruit, bananas, paw paw, guava's) which guests may help themselves to - when in season. The Villas share a 36sqm salt water swimming pool which has a 5sqm shallow area for seating or for children to enjoy. Please note the pool is NOT fenced and therefore children need to be supervised at all times. Other things to note CHILDREN I’ve always been a firm believer that travelling with the family does not mean you have to sacrifice on luxury! We understand the value in happy and entertained young ones and therefore have a special area dedicated just for them! A custom designed play house set under a beautiful old mango tree is the focal point of the play area, which also has a slide, climbing frame and sand pit. There is also a netted trampoline and of course a swimming pool to enjoy. The swimming pool has a 5sqm shelf, approximately 30 cm deep which is perfect for the youngest pool users. We have a full range of baby/toddler gear including porta cot, high chair, toilet training seats, portable high chair which clips onto table top.
