Guest access Your booking via this site allows up to 16 guests to stay for a vacation experience. Additional overnight guests beyond 16 persons attract an additional per person per night fee. We do limit the overnight capacity of the villa to the number of natural sleeping spaces (no portable beds outside of a crib and/or pack 'n plays). Outside guests visiting you will attract a day-pass fee (see below). All special events held at the villa require pre-approval, are booked/planned separately from this site, and attract a separate venue fee which starts at US$1500. The property is gated with electronic access. Limited parking is available on site, however, our guests usually engage a van and driver service for the duration of their stay or as needed. All non-registered guests (a.k.a. visitors) must pay US$50 day pass rate per person per day which allows use of on-site amenities but does not include meal settings. Some of our staff stay on the property in two separate staff cottages so you have continued support during your stay. Other things to note Frequently asked Questions: Q: How far is the beach? A: The nearest beach is literally a 2 to 3 minute leisurely walk up the road from the villa. We have free membership to Bengal beach, a 2 minute drive around the bay to the west of the villa. We also maintain membership at Puerto Seco Beach Club, the best beach club in our region, which is a 5 minutes drive east of the villa. The butler can schedule access for the group. Transportation to Puerto Seco is necessary. Q: How far is the villa from the airport? A: Mais Oui is around 50 minutes drive from Montego Bay's Sangster International Airport. Q: How much are the services of the chef? A: Mais Oui is a fully staffed villa. The services of our Chef, Housekeeper(s), Butler, laundress and grounds man are all included with villa rental. Gratuities (10% of the high season rate, 15% low season) are expected, are not optional, and are given to the staff directly at the end of your stay. Q: Do staff stay on-site? A: Some staff stay on property. Those that do, stay in one of the two staff cottages, which are separate from the villa. Q: Are meals additional or included? A: Meals are not included with your rental of the villa. The staff will shop for you based on your menus and provide you with the relevant receipts. We recommend using an estimated budget of US$70 - $80 per person per day for three meals per day at the villa. This is a budgetary estimate, not a "price". You and your guests are in control of how much you all spend on meals based on your choices for what you eat and the amounts consumed. You will pay the grocery store directly. Q: How does it work with alcohol? A: There are different options to purchase alcohol. You can let us know specifically what you would like and it can be added to your grocery bill. You could also purchase it from duty-free at the airport. The van driver generally stops at a grocery store in Montego Bay on the way to the villa. Here you have the opportunity to purchase desired alcohol and snacks. Our butler also doubles as a bartender. Q: Other than the cost to rent the villa, what else can I expect to pay for? A: The cost you are seeing on this site covers the rental of the villa plus taxes and this site's fees. You have access to all villa amenities except as listed below. Additional costs to expect would include the following: → Meals and Alcohol: We recommend guests use an estimated budget of US$70 to US$80 per person per day for three meals per day at the villa, excluding alcohol. This is an estimated budget that works for most people, not a "price". Items such as lobster, filet mignon, lamb, oxtail would be at the higher end and could exceed the estimated budget. The staff, usually the chef, will grocery shop for you. The chef prepares all your meals. You are in control of how much you all spend on meals based on your menu choices, amount of food eaten, and number of meals per day. → All events at the villa require whole-house booking, pre-approval, and separate venue fee. → Gratuities: 10% of the villa rental (not including this site's fees or taxes) for high season, 15% low season. This covers the necessary overtime that results at a staffed property. The staff looks forward to receiving this at the end of your stay. It is paid directly to staff in cash but if you want to use a credit card for this we can facilitate, no problem. → Excursions/Activities: Entry fees to various excursions in our area such as river rafting, horseback riding, zip-lining, hiking and many, others. → Transportation: You will need transportation unless you plan to only relax at the villa. (Some people do, and it's a good thing since there's a lot to do at the villa itself). You are definitely free to find, hire and use any driver or service you wish. Mr. Senior Smith is most often the professional, private driver in Jamaica our guests choose. He charges a group of 11 - 20 persons US$300/day for rental of two or more days (US$350 for one day only) or a group of up to 10 persons US$200/day (US$250 if booked only for one day). Either choice includes 1 tank of gas per day and 8 hours service to attractions and destinations along the north coast between Ocho Rios and Montego Bay. Additional gas is the guest's responsibility. For all destinations outside this area the standard JUTA rate would apply. Note that these rates are set by the van and driver service, not by Mais Oui Villa, and are subject to change without notice. → Spa Services: These are a la carte and by appointment only. → Entertainment: If you would like to have a photographer for a photoshoot, fire dancer, event planner/decorator, or DJ these can be arranged after booking. → Events are any activity that will involve any outside vendors and their coordination on any level, this qualifies as an event and the event fee applies.
