Welcome to the luxurious Casa Barracuda, a gorgeous 3 bedroom vacation rental home on 1/3 acre, less than 30 steps to the soft sands & popular surf of Playa Hermosa de Garabito-Puntarenas, Costa Rica. This Playa Hermosa is famous for its relaxing vibe yet you're only 10 minutes away from the multi-services & excitement of Jaco. This area is not only extremely popular with families & single surfers, but lately has become the romantic destination for weddings, honeymoons and later, babymoons! You’ll love the modern kitchen with stainless steel appliances, conveniences you’ll love, lots of granite counter tops, a Whirlpool double door refri with icemaker, even a dishwasher! The custom made CR hardwood kitchen cabinets are complemented with a granite breakfast bar with hardwood stools, facing the chef. The laundry with full size washer and dryer is right next to the kitchen and can be closed off with a folding curtain when desired. The great room is truly great thanks to its double sliding glass doors providing nice ocean views from every angle. There’s excellent wireless high speed internet & the Samsung 50” HD TV, has streaming options + Blu-ray/DVD player. The glass-top dining table seats up to 8 guests with nicely cushioned chairs. There are 2 overstuffed chairs, a comfy three-seat sofa, all with views of the free form enchanting private pool. Try the exercise bike we have, next to the window overlooking the outside table and pool area! Once outside you’ll be surrounded by beautiful landscaping with tall palm & almond trees that will attract noisy colorful macaws, as the friendly iguanas will entertain you as they fight over your table scraps & fruit skins. The manicured front & back yards (1/3 acre!) allow for all kinds of fun or privacy and soon the fruit trees will deliver their goods! Casa Barracuda’s large-covered terrace with an upstairs pool deck allows you fantastic views where you can enjoy the sun and sounds of the sea either on a hammock or the many comfortable seating options. An outdoor table for four allows for alfresco dining, & there are 4 extra comfy plastic chairs for moving closer to the food or to the beach! Grill that filet of the day on the recently purchased gas grill facing the ocean! This 2500 sq ft/232m2 spacious home has three bedrooms with a master bedroom featuring an excellent king size bed with 100% cotton sheets, fine pillows, & ensuite upgraded bathroom with shower! The walkin closet has enough space for your clothes, & has a wall safe! The two other bedrooms have very nice Queen beds & one Twin bed in each, & both are next to a nice bathroom with shower & enough storage for all your essentials! Although Playa Hermosa (‘Beautiful Beach’) is a world-famous surfing beach and in May 2022 was named Central America’s first World Surf Reserve, you don’t have to be a surfer to love this beach. I lived nearby for 18 years, and loved walking this beach at a nice pace taking in the sights & sounds, especially at low tide, (best time for families w/ kids!) Sometimes a friend would pass me by doing his speed walks & I’d smile knowing he’s going too fast to see the daily treasures. Usually you won’t see many people on the beach like you would in Jaco, but when there’s great waves, the surfers come! Our sunsets are world famous, from either our Casa Barracuda 2nd floor Deck, or walk north to our favorite beachfront restaurant, Vida Hermosa, about 25 minutes away. The surf break is one of the most consistent in Central America, and well known among surfers, who participate in lots of local competitions. The best surfing breaks occur almost the same time that Olive Ridley sea turtles come to lay their eggs! From June to Nov. Other things to note We ask that you please, please use our outdoor shower, located on the northern side of the house. It's fun, its easy, its refreshing! After all, nobody likes sand on the floor that gets transferred into your bed! We greatly appreciate your efforts in keeping the sand outside, the iguanas also thank you!
