Hope Lake Hideaway

Our recently renovated classic Alaskan home in an Idyllic lakeside setting is the perfect base for your Alaskan adventure. It is located right between two major fishing rivers (Kenai and Kasilof), and just 10 minutes from the full service town of Soldotna. Hope Lake is off limits to motors, so you can relax in quiet privacy. Paddle the lake in the canoe that is included free with the rental, then hang out and watch loons, moose and other wildlife from your lakeshore firepit. Guests like the quiet serenity and beauty combined with the comfort and convenience, and quick easy access to Soldotna, a little town with everything you need. There is also a friendly and competent fish processor business 1/4 mile away. This is the only house on the property, so you have the home, yard, parking and lake access entirely to yourself. We travel occasionally, but on booking will be able to tell our guests if we will be home or away during their stay. We have extensive knowledge about Alaska and the Kenai Peninsula and happy to share it with our guests. Our home is just down the lakeshore - handy but not intrusive. The neighborhood is rural Alaska, and people are friendly but houses are not close together and during the short Alaskan summer most neighbors are working or active fishing or doing other outdoor activities. Just a great balance of friendliness and privacy. The only public ground transportation is taxi (Alaska Cab). Rental cars are available at Kenai and Anchorage airports.
