Right on the Caribbean Beach! Peaceful waves.

Our Turtle Beach Cottage is right on the beach! Fabulous views to our sister island of Nevis, the ocean and reef! Watch pelicans dive, sting rays leap and turtles bobbing their head up to catch a breath! Curious vervet monkeys may pay a visit, morning doves wake you with their quiet cooing and yellow crested night herons perch in our mangrove trees. Peace and quiet minutes away from excellent restaurants and activities. Beach combing easy walks and great hikes in our area. The space Our cottage is very spacious and comfortable with many indoor and outdoor living areas! We sit directly above Turtle Beach with amazing views across the 2 mile channel to the Island of Nevis. The bedroom has a pillow top king bed, flat screen cable TV and air conditioning (in the bedroom only) The bedroom has ceiling fans and the cottage is screened, so you can sleep with the ocean breeze and the sound of tree frogs and night herons. FROM THE BED .......you can close your eyes with a view of the moon shining a path on the ocean and wake to glorious pink sunrises. There is NO PLACE LIKE THIS ON ST KITTS! We have a twin size "day" bed which can accommodate 1 additional person who is not too tall. Best for child, teen or small adult. The "day bed" is located in the screened living room with ceiling fan but no air conditioning. "It's like sleeping in a TREE house" our daughter says! We book by the week but I am happy to book a 4 night minimum stay between dates! JUST MESSAGE ME TO ASK if you see dates on my calendar you'd like to visit and we'll try our best to accommodate you. Guest access You are renting a private one-bedroom unit which sits UPSTAIRS ABOVE our beach front lounge. Your own private kitchenette and private bathroom are upstairs in the cottage. The upper floor "cottage" is very spacious with it's own balcony over the beach and large sundeck with 2 lounge chairs. There are 2 living room areas. The beach lounge on the main floor below is shared space from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily with a max of 8 other guests who stay at our 4 bedroom Villa and guest cottage a short walk away. Before 10 am and after 5 pm the entire property is private for you! The main floor larger kitchen is available for your use. It's kind to leave a shelf open in the fridge in case any day guests choose to bring their lunch to the beach lounge. (this is rare though) Please feel free to message me if you have any questions about the shared lounge. Other things to note Turtle Beach is located in a quiet residential neighbourhood. Turtle Beach is a NATURAL beach and is not groomed by machines. We do hand rake in front of our property. Sargasso Seaweed comes and goes with the tides. Last summer 2018 we had experienced a very large amount of Sargasso Seaweed. So far July 2019 the beach has been lovely. The tide/currents tend to wash it out of our bay ............ Cockelshell Beach is a 12 minute walk away and has little or no seaweed, crystal clear water and is calm. Turtle Beach has the BEST snorkelling reef accessibly by land. Bring your own mask and we have fins available! Why we love Turtle Beach?...... YES we may get seaweed, YES Turtles do come in to nest and baby turtles hatch in season...... NO we do not get hordes of cruise ship passengers........
