SkyView on LaHave Island is car-accessible, built on the highest point of a gorgeous island like a castle on a hill. See our video on Youtube. A phenomenal spot! The space Arriving at SkyView is a unique experience. You drive up a raised driveway to our first floor, which is actually 18 feet above ground level. Then cross over a little "bridge," a front landing which spans the drop below, to the front door. The moment you enter the house you're greeted with the most prominent feature of our home -- a breathtaking 2-story atrium with 28 windows overlooking the ocean. The atrium has a super-comfortable, large couch and other nice chairs surrounding a coffee table -- it's the gathering place at SkyView. The atrium is part of an open floor plan downstairs which includes a large fully-stocked kitchen, dining room with antique table and chairs, a breakfast nook, and expansive entryway with a wood stove (wonderful for extra heat and ambiance). All the rooms are spacious with high ceilings and huge windows. All the second floor rooms have 11 skylights which let in lots of light. Climb the stairs to the second floor, and you come to a large, central space between the three bedrooms. It has a balcony which looks out over the atrium, and because you are now even higher above the treetops, provides even more spectacular views of the ocean. The master bedroom looks out over the Atlantic on three sides and has a balcony to step out on to enjoy the views. The master is HUGE with a king bed, and an extra space that has a lounge chair, desk, and can fit a baby crib. We also have a 50-inch flatscreen TV with local channels. The master has direct access to the full bathroom. A second bedroom facing the ocean has a queen bed. The third bedroom has a double bed as well as a door to the balcony. The first floor den is a second seating area which supplements the atrium. It has a pullout couch which sleeps two people. The den has a 36-inch smart HDTV with many apps such as Netflix, Apple TV, Prime Video, Hulu, YouTube TV, Disney and Peacock. The TV has an HDMI cable that can be hooked up to a computer. THe den also has a DVD player and stereo. The den is adjacent to the first floor bathroom and there is a deck off of the den. In the basement enjoy our ping pong table and second stereo. Outside, enjoy ocean and island views from our two decks and balcony. View soaring seagulls, and watch fishing boats and sailboats in the bay. We have parking for 4 cars. Guest access The house will be all yours. We won't be living at our home when you stay there. Other things to note Length of Stay: During the high season, from June through the end of September, we require a 7-night minimum, which runs from Saturday to Saturday. If you want to arrive on a different day, we may be able to accommodate, but we would need to discuss this, so please do not book without first communicating with us. All other times of the year, we have a two night minimum. Connectivity: We have high-speed wireless Internet and good cell phone service.
