Coral Bayview is a spacious, luxury, 2 Bedroom Unit overlooking Coral Bay with breathtaking 220 degree views of the Harbor from Your Private 100 ft. Covered Deck. With an over-sized kitchen, living-dining- great room, W/D, 2 Bedrooms w/ Queen Beds & Split Level A/C for your sleeping comfort. The great room, kitchen and bathroom are not airconditioned, but ceiling fans, floor fans and the near constant Caribbean Tradewind's breeze keep those areas at a comfortable temperature year around. Our Wifii is constant between 115 and 200 Mbps (Megabits per second). We also have a redundant system should the primary system fail for any reason. Our main system is Space X Starlink internet system. 4WD Rental Jeep Avail. Reserved Beach Space - Hansen's East End (15-18 m. Drive). Add the studio below to create a 3BR home! THE PROPERTY: Coral Bayview sits 100' above Coral Harbor off a paved street and enjoys magnificent 220 degree views from your private deck, especially sunrise and moon rises. Your first Caribbean continental breakfast is provided with our compliments and includes a loaf of Julie's freshly baked banana or mango coconut bread. Coffee, tea, 2% milk or plant based milk and condiments will be provided at no charge throughout your stay. SEE ROOM SERVICE BELOW. And, stay safely hydrated right from the tap in the unit. The rainwater collected at Coral Bayview2 passes through three stages of sophisticated equipment. It is the cleanest, safest, purest water you will ever drink. BEDROOMS Both bedrooms have super quiet split A/C units with an additional ceiling fan. Each bedroom has a queen size bed with a pillow soft mattress cover and deluxe, soft, 500 count Pima cotton sheets and 4 deluxe soft king size pillows. A dresser, two night stands and closet complete the room. White noise machines are in both bedrooms. A hotel style safe in one of the bedrooms keeps your Passports and other valuables secure. BATHROOM The bathroom has a large walk-in shower. Complimentary shampoo, conditioner, body and bar soap are provided as are 4 sets of ultra-soft bath towels, hand towels and wash cloths. LAUNDRY A full size stacking washer and dryer (including laundry detergent/bleach/spot remover) are in the bathroom so you don't have to pack a lot of clothes. KITCHEN The kitchen is very large and has all that you need to prepare your own meals including oven, microwave, full refrigerator, dishwasher, toaster, coffee(with filters), tea pot, pots and pans, tupperware, ziplock baggies, food film, aluminum foil, and all the china and cutlery you would ever need. MEDIA The living room has a 55" flat screen TV, with Dish satellite TV with Netflix, Amazon Prime and all the Dish TV channels. WiFi/Internet is provided at no charge as are several multi-port charging stations. (guests must bring their own adapters and chargers). DECK The oversize wrap around deck is filled with seating to accommodate any mood. There is a teak table and chairs for outside dining, a hanging swing for morning coffee or reflection, and four captains chairs to gain a commanding view of Coral Bay and the Caribbean beyond. Just beyond the deck are oleander, palms, bougainvillea, agave, and tamarind. BEACH AND HIKING GEAR St. John IS paradise for active vacationers. We provide you with a cooler with ice packs, flotation mat, beach towels, adjustable hiking poles, and beach chairs that double as backpacks to get you to those private beaches only accessible to adventurous hikers. We also supply you with numerous books and maps that offer clear, easy instructions on every beach, hike, and landmark on the island. Masks, snorkels and fins are provided for FREE! And if you still have questions, our Property Managers will be happy to assist you. ROOM SERVICE Julie Van Pelt is an award winning Executive Chef and owner of East-West Catering (retired now after 22 years of cooking in the high end villas on St. John) and is one of your on-site hosts! When her schedule allows, she can create an unforgettable room service event that includes fresh fish and local organic produce. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free dishes are also available with the same creative excellence. Once you are booked, she will email you the Room Service Menu if you wish (one is also provided in your Welcome Binder). TRANSPORTATION Julie and Jack will arrange for a taxi to pick you up in Cruz Bay and bring you to the property and return you to the ferry dock at the end of your stay. Please see the picture gallery for their incredible vehicles for rent at the best prices on 2 islands, which are meticulously maintained by Jack, who is a master mechanic. GUEST ACCESS You will have exclusive and private access to the home via the front porch with no steps to negotiate. Jack & Julie, the Property Managers live next door and are always available to assist you. They are an Airbnb "Super Host" and he is also the best auto mechanic on the island which is a massive benefit if you lock your keys in your Jeep or get a flat tire. The home offers complete privacy and the Property Managers will only interact with you at your request. INTERACTION WITH GUESTS As 23 year residents, Julie & Jack, would be delighted to give you their recommendations to their favorite (and secret) beaches, snorkeling spots, hiking trails, restaurants, shopping and other professional services such as in-room massage and boat excursions. Finally, we respect your privacy while at Coral Bayview, and hope to make your visit to St. John and your stay with us memorable. There is a guest book where you can read what previous guest have enjoyed the most about St. John with some don't miss recommendations. We encourage you to read the guest book on your arrival to get some ideas of what to do during your stay. Julie has also created an information binder that has restaurant menus, beaches, hiking, shopping and lots of activities such as day sail and power boat charters, fishing charters, kayaking, and scuba diving charters. Other things to note HOUSE RULES & NOTES FOR CORAL BAYVIEW: - SMOKERS AND VAPORS ARE NOT WELCOME TO BOOK AT CORAL BAYVIEW2. Please understand that this does not just mean that you can not smoke OR vape anywhere on the property, inside the unit or in our rental vehicle. If you are smokers or vapers, WE WILL CONTACT AIRBNB AND YOU WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE. Additionally DO NOT invite any guests to visit you while staying at Coral Bayview2 that are smokers or vapers. We are completely serious about this issue so please be honest with us and look elsewhere for accommodations if you are smokers or vapers. We are committed to keeping our Coral Bayview2 (IT HAS NEVER BEEN SMOKED/VAPED IN) pristine and a nicotine free space for those that enjoy a clean unpolluted environment. NO ESSENTIAL OILS, TANNING, TINTING OR BRONZING CREAMS ARE ALLOWED IN THE UNIT. NO BURNING OF INCENSE IS ALLOWED ON THE PROPERTY. INFANTS, TODDLERS AND CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 7 ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THIS UNIT. - Check–In is 3:00 pm and Check-Out is 10:00 am. If early check–in and/or late check-out is requested & available, a fee may apply. - Please plan to arrive in Coral Bay no later than 8:00 pm. If you are arriving after 8:00 pm, please contact us in advance to make arrangements. - Please help us conserve water! Everyone on St. John gets all of their water from rainfall collected from the roof so we ask that you be conservative with your water usage. Our water, unlike most other rentals, is treated by dual filtration and ultra violet light to kill any bacteria or micro organisms and is some of the purest water and perfectly safe to drink. - Please conserve electricity! Electricity in the Virgin Islands is several times what it costs in the States. Please be mindful of electricity use: and turn off all lights, fans, fountains and A/C when not in use or when you leave. Your conservation allows us to offer you such reasonable rates. -The Great Room is NOT airconditioned, and the bedroom A/C units are for the bedrooms only and not to be used to try and cool the whole unit as they are not designed for that purpose. Ceiling fans and floor fans are provided for the Great Room. - 2 large folding luggage racks are provided in your walk in closet. All luggage must be placed on these racks. Never on dresser or bed. - Do not leave any food out in the open either on the deck or inside. Place all open, non-refrigerated items in the Ziploc bags provided and any refrigerated items in the mini fridge. -A fully functioning kitchen is provided for your cooking convenience, and you have a large shared grill on the outside deck. - We provide you with a covered plastic trash bin on the entry porch. Please tie up your trash bags provided and place them in the bin making sure the lid is secure. We will dispose of your trash for you when you place it out on the outside entry area. - Please hose off all beach and sandy gear in the driveway. Sand is a very precious natural resource and should be left on the beach. There is a hose provided off the entry porch for your use to wash your beach chairs, feet and any sandy gear. Please hang up your beach towels and swimwear on the clothes line provided. - We provide 8 large plush beach towels. Do not take the white bath towels to the beach. - We urge you to make use of the St. John guide books provided, but please do not take them out onto the beach or on the water with you. - ABSOLUTELY nothing in toilet but toilet paper. No feminine hygiene products (condoms) or any other paper items or foreign objects. - ABSOLUTELY nothing down the kitchen sink/dishwasher (includes food you have not eaten) and the bathroom sink as well,. Same system as above. -While you will enjoy total privacy, your hosts also live in the building so we ask that you be considerate and keep the noise levels down. NO parties are allowed. If you want to get wild and loud please visit one of St. John's nightspots. - A maximum of 6 quests are allowed on the property in addition to registered guests up to 10:00 pm. - You have one designated parking space. If you have guests, no more than two additional vehicles are allowed on the property. One can park in back of your parking space and the other against the concrete wall not blocking the driveway entrance. No other vehicles are allowed on the property or parked on the street. THE NEIGHBORHOOD: Coral Bay has a more laid back and less commercial vibe than Cruz Bay. We have a much slower, “no worries” attitude with locals and tourists alike so take your time, relax and enjoy everything and everyone. Island culture dictates the courtesy of starting any conversation with the locals, a simple Good Morning, Good Afternoon or Good Evening. Not to do so is considered incredibly rude. Good manners are still held dear to locals and goes a long way. Locals tend to be very conservative so please be respectful and do not wear your bathing suits in public except when you're on the beach or at a pool. LOCATION: Coral BaySide has a fabulous location in the “center” of Coral Bay. Dolphin Grocery Store is a 2 minute drive as is Crabby’s Watersports rentals, the Cocoloba shopping arcade and several great restaurants. Head in ANY direction & it’s a short drive to one mind boggling beach after another. You are also a very short drive to a number of the well-maintained National Park hiking trails. At the end of the day, enjoy Coral Bayview's Room Service delivered right to your deck for a private romantic dinner or head out to dinner in Coral Bay. Just a 1-5 minute drive in one direction are Aqua Bistro, Salty Mongoose and Wok On The Beach. 5 minutes in the other direction is Love City Cafe, Rhumblines, and the world famous Skinny Leg’s Bar and Grill for the absolutely best burgers in paradise. All of the above have designated parking. Check these local restaurants for their schedule of live music by local musicians and their summer closing schedules. During the season, Sundays on the Coral Bay side of the island are particularly special. A fantastic brunch is served at Miss Lucy’s waterside restaurant where you will find live Jazz music for Sunday brunch in season. While Coral Bayview is only a 1 minute walk to the main bus line, in order to make the most of your St. John vacation, we highly recommend renting a car and 4 WHEEL DRIVE IS HIGHLY SUGGESTED. There are about 10 very small locally owned car rental business here on St. John to choose from or if you don't want to pay full price and want to save some money, we have a really nice Jeep 2 door hardtop (with soft roll back) Wrangler 4WD, see picture in our photo gallery, available for rent directly from your hosts at only $65.00 per day including insurance, 4 day minimum, with a $300.00 refundable cash damage deposit and a $50 cleaning fee. If you choose not to rent directly from us, we recommend Budget at the STT airport (NOT Havensight mall). If you rent at the STT airport, please note that the last Car ferry leaves STT at 6:30 PM. Plan to be at the car ferry dock by 5:30 PM. It’s at least a 30 minute drive from the airport to the car ferry so plan accordingly and leave yourself plenty of time so you don’t miss the last car ferry to St. John. Also the first car ferry to leave St. John on your departure to St. Thomas leaves St. John at 6:00 most days so you if you've rented your vehicle on St. Thomas and have an early departure flight you may find yourself pressed for time to make your flight. If you are not renting our vehicle we will provide you with driving directions from Cruz Bay to Coral Bayview. It’s a 30 minute easy drive from Cruz Bay over the island to Coral Bay and especially beautiful if you take the beach road through the National Park. Coral Bayview is located on a paved road with paved driveway and gravel parking area with designated guest parking space. PLEASE NOTE: 2 of St. John’s gas stations are located in Cruz Bay, on the other side of the island, and there is a new gas station mid-island on Centerline Road. Please always be mindful of your fuel gauge and never let your tank get below 1/4 full.
