Simple Solitude Near Acadia

This cabin #Berrymaine is located approx. 10 mi./20 min. from Mt. Desert Island. Close enough to access Acadia Nat'l Park, Bar Harbor, and Schoodic, but secluded enough to enjoy a quiet respite from the day’s activities. Best for couples/sm families. The space This is a camp. For many families in Maine, having a camp (cabin) is a family tradition. Camps are often passed down through generations. This camp is on the one hand rustic, but it is comfortable with modern conveniences such as indoor heat and high speed internet. It has 2 bedrooms, one with a new comfy queen bed, and the other with a new bunk bed. A full kitchen (mini-refrigerator), a full bathroom, and a small heater for cool evenings makes your stay comfortable. The bedrooms do not have doors, however we have curtains for privacy between the bedrooms and kitchen/living area. There is also a mud room/entryway that provides additional room for your gear. The camp is far enough away from neighbors that you can leave the windows open at night, hearing the wind high in the trees. You will have solitude, quiet and be surrounded by the aroma of white pine and fir needles on a sunny day. Guest access Guests have full use of the camp, lawn, private driveway, and private parking. The large lawn is perfect for hanging out in the sun in the afternoon, grilling out for dinner, and stargazing late-night. There is also a nice hammock. Previous renters and guests always remark about the wildlife sightings and quiet surroundings. We even had a moose sighting in the driveway in 2023! Also, from the camp, you can take a short 5 minute drive to Lamoine Beach (free) or Lamoine State Park (fee). Both locations offer a quiet, sandy ocean beach with amazing views of Mount Desert Island where you can take a walk, put your toes in the water, skip rocks, or go clamming. Other things to note No trespassing on adjacent properties. High speed wireless internet available. No TV. Sheets and towels included. Fire pit available for outdoor use.
