Built in 1769, the house of Lt. William Henry, Revolutionary War Hero and participant in the Battle of Bennington, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Henry House sits on 21 acres of a tranquil setting of meadows and mountains. The original charm of this landmark home is retained for your pleasure in this authentic house our family has rejuvenated. It also features a beautiful open front porch overlooking the Henry Covered Bridge and Walloomsac River. The space (Parties and events are not permitted.) The Henry House is a unique Vermont historical residence, featuring guest rooms decorated in subtle tones and furnished with a curated collection of fine and antique furniture. The Borning Room - This comfortable first-floor room contains a cherry wood four-poster queen bed, ideal for a tranquil retreat. The William Henry Room - Showcasing an antique oak queen bed, this downstairs corner room offers views of expansive back meadows, streams, and pine forests. The Borning and William Henry Rooms share a newly renovated bathroom. The Ballroom/Bridal Suite - An elegant upstairs space, this room boasts a four-poster king-sized bed, a 14-foot-high ceiling, a sitting area, and a private bath. Decorated tastefully with handmade quilts and period antiques, the ballroom stands as the centerpiece of The Henry House. The Mary Henry Room - This charming upstairs corner room features two twin poster beds and overlooks lush green fields, stone walls, and a meandering brook. The Burt Henry Room - A spacious upstairs chamber with exposed woodwork, reminiscent of colonial times. Equipped with antique wooden furnishings, a queen bed, a comfortable sitting area, and a private bath, this distinctive room provides views of the Burt Henry Covered Bridge and the Walloomsac River, as well as the heart-shaped pond. The Sarah Henry Room - This second-floor suite is furnished with a queen-sized canopy bed and includes an adjoining cozy sitting area with a twin day bed and window seat, offering views of the Walloomsac River and Burt Henry Covered Bridge. The suite also has a private bath. Guest access *You may not access the attic or basement.
