The Sea Glass Retreat is a small and modest, but quaint home located in Surfside Beach Texas. The simple and small cottage is about 5 houses down from the beach. The Interior of the home makes the most of the small, but quaint space. There is a fenced in yard downstairs with a nice area for grilling and hot tubbing. The Retreat is modest, small, and simple, but comfortable; a true throwback to the Surfside Beach of the past. It's perfect for an affordable and fun beach getaway. Designed for comfort, The Sea Glass Retreat is just that, a small, simple, and cute space where you can let your worries melt away. Bring the family, pets (yes we are pet-friendly!) or make it a romantic weekend away. Heck, bring a few friends (just a few, as it’s small) and just forget about the city. It's time to retreat to the coast. Up stairs home, and down stairs yard. The garage area is used for storage and has a separate entrance, which may be used by the owners or maintenance crew during your stay. Please message through the app with any questions or issues during your stay. The Surfside liquor store is at the end of the street, and great dinning options are walkable. Take a beach drive and get to and from the beach and around town easily on one of our rentable golf carts (inquire for rates and availability). Please take note: Surfside’s water is not potable or drinkable, and has a slight tint to it. It is fine for showering or brushing your teeth, just not recommended for cooking or drinking. So please bring bottle water. Walk, rent a golf cart (inquire for rates and availability), drive on and to the beach. Bring your bike! Take a nice walk on the beach! Bring your boat, jet ski, or PWC! Take a beach drive and get to and from the beach and around town easily on one of our rentable golf carts (inquire for rates and availability). - Pets are welcome with a non-refundable fee of $50 per pet for your trip. If you are bringing more than one pet please let us know and we will process the additional fee via airbnb resolution center. Please pick up after your pets and dispose of their waste in the outside trash. Failure to do so will result in additional cleaning fees. -Strictly no more than 6 guests. If you have more than six guests the local authorities will be notified and you will be asked to leave. We do not allow parties. Please be respectful of our home and our neighbors. If you have more than six guests it is a violation of our rental agreement and your rental contract will be terminated and you will be asked to leave and a refund will not be provided. This is a small home on a septic system, as is half of the island, and no more than 6 people can be hosted at a time, but it’s a small space that is more comfortable for 2-4 guests. - Please take note: Surfside’s water is not potable or drinkable, and has a slight tint to it. It is fine for showering or brushing your teeth, it is just not recommended for cooking or drinking. So please bring bottled drinking water. We do not have any control over the city water, but the city of Surfside is currently working to bring potable water to the island. - Please note the yard is secured by a fence and that pet owners must pick up after and properly dispose of dog poop in outside trash. Failure to do so will result in additional cleaning fees. - Door code and other check-in instructions will be provided the morning of your arrival. This is to protect the privacy of current guests. - There is a $50 fee for an early check-in, if we can accommodate it. Please give us at least 3 days notice if you wish to make a request. - We provide 8 towels, 2 wash cloths, and a hand towel in the kitchen for your stay, which are meant for bathing/showering only. We do not provide beach towels. If you require additional towels, please bring them with you. - We provide 1 roll of paper towels. If you think you will need more, please bring additional paper towels. - We provide 2 trash bags. - Additional charges will be applied for any damage to property or furniture. if you destroy or damage the property, you will be paying for labor and materials for repairs or replacement. We do not accept incremental payments for damage. Payment will be made in full. - 4% Village of Surfside Beach hotel/motel tax (Registration #10226) is included as "Community Fee" - No pets allowed in the hot tub. Pet hair found in the hot tub will result in additional cleaning fees. -We no longer provide basic condiments or spices. Please bring any spices or condiments you believe you will need for your stay. We apologize for any inconvenience, but many guests in the past would take the brand new condiments and spices with them when they left, unfortunately. - We have the house regularly treated by pest control, but please remember that it is Texas. There are bugs from time to time, and mosquitos are also just a part of the coastal existence. Bring some insect repellent spray, like OFF, as we cannot rid the island of mosquitos regardless of our regular mosquito treatments. - Golf Cart rental available- Inquire for rates and availability.
