Avon Acres is the perfect location to take a break from the busyness of everyday life and escape to a quiet and scenic country setting. The property has a fenced backyard and lots of outdoor open space and boasts amazing sunset views of Mt. Erie and the Olympic Mountains across pastures and acres of farmland. Relax in the 6-person hot tub! The space The apartment is on the second floor of a large barn-house. It features a bright and airy open floor plan with two bedrooms and a full bath. Access is through the entry and staircase off the carport on the ground level, but there is no access to the large garage space below. There is a large deck with a spectacular view facing west, which looks out across several miles of open fields and farmlands and Mt. Erie. It is especially great for wildlife viewing and sunsets. There are several acres for outdoor play, as well as a large fully fenced backyard with a pond which is accessible from the back deck. There is covered parking for one vehicle, as well as uncovered parking for several more. We welcome well-behaved dogs, but we do ask the following: -tell us about your dog(s) at time of booking -please pick up after your dog -dogs must be in a crate if left unattended in the house -dogs stay off couches and beds -owners are responsible for any damage or pet stains -$10/dog/night fee Guest access Guests have access to the following areas: -The entire upper level (living spaces) -Carport (for 1 vehicle) -Outdoor parking (for many vehicles) -Entry and stairs to upper level (from carport) -Back deck + stairs to backyard -Fenced backyard (~1/4 acre) Other things to note The property is in a quiet rural area with few neighbors and is very private with large hedges and trees blocking its view to the road. It is situated in an agricultural area and the associated agricultural sights and sounds. Usually this is limited to tractors and other farm equipment on the roads and in the adjacent fields. We have 3 unique short-term rentals at Avon Acres. "The Barn Apartment" is located next door to the "The Farmhouse" - about 100yds to the north beyond the large trees. "The Granary" is a smaller studio-apartment style space, built from a 100-year-old Grain barn which we converted to a brand-new ADU in the summer of 2020. The Granary is located behind the Farmhouse and shares the same driveway for access. The 3 units sit on about 3 acres of trees, lawns and pastures at the northeast corner of our 38.5 acre parcel, the remainder of the land being actively farmed, the current crop being Fescue Grass, used for lawn seed production.
