The year-round 1st floor tenants are quiet and usually not home, but should you experience any excessive noise or disturbances, we ask that you contact us immediately so we can address the situation. We have an offsite property manager who is available to respond if guests have any additional needs or experience any issues. The 1st floor apartment has a completely separate entrance and exit. The 1st floor apartment is considered a separate residence under Franklin County guidelines. As the entry's are completely separate, there are still places for you to enjoy on the 1st floor like a hammock, the outdoor shower, fish cleaning station, the kayaks, 2 fire pits and sitting areas. There is also a BBQ propane grill and propane flat top grill there. We do ask that you respect their small area and privacy as they will respect yours. Fine furnishings in a beach house atmosphere. Other things to note Additional rules No parties. No smoking in the house. No illegal drugs or substances. No exceptions. Please do not leave cigarette butts in the yard but rather to dispose of them in the sand ashtrays on the deck or the butt bin barrels provided on each level, or in a semi empty bottle of water to assure they are extinguished Before checking out, please put all the dishes in the dishwasher or clean them and place them in the drying rack. Please do not put pots, pans, or knives in the dishwasher, but rather wash them by hand. If the BBQ grill or flat top grills are used, they must be cleaned, and all utensils used washed or put in the dishwasher prior to departure. There will be an additional $25.00 cleaning fee if the grills are left uncleaned. Also, please place all used towels/linens in the laundry room, and PLEASE start a load of towels upon departure. Check out time is 10 a.m. If you want late check-out, it must be confirmed ahead of time as we may have guests checking in that day. There will be an additional fee for late check-out. Ask host for specifics. If you have a spill, please use the rags in the laundry room or paper towels. Please do not use the bath towels or washcloths. Please dispose of diapers in plastic bags and place them in the trash container under the home. You can use the grocery bags, a small trash can liner, or take a kitchen garbage bag to the bathroom and dispose of that bag upon checkout. We have provided plenty of makeup wipes and specially marked makeup towels for the removal of makeup. Please do not use the washcloths, hand towels, or bath towels for this purpose. Please do not use bathroom towels as beach towels. Beach towels are provided and located in the laundry room on the shelf. Please just return them to the location and cleanliness you found them. Pet Policy: Pets are welcome! You are expected to pick up after your pet. Those with pets pay an additional $60 PER pet cleaning fee that applies to the additional deep cleaning of the house. Please keep the closet doors closed while you stay at the Carrabelle house with your pet. Also, please ONLY housebroken, non "marking" dogs. All feces from dogs must be picked up and properly disposed of in the poop stations before leaving. There will be an additional fee to clean up dog waste if not done by the dog owner. Dogs are not to be left locked or confined in any of the rooms and are not to be left unattended unless crated. Crates of different sizes are provided at the location and can be found in the laundry room area. Crates must be cleaned, broken down, and returned to their original location before departure. Many of the shops and restaurants in the area are dog friendly and welcome your pet and have special accommodations and areas for them, so feel free to have Fido accompany you on your excursions! Cat Specific: Cats are NOT allowed under any circumstance. Dog Specific: Please wipe off dog paws of sand or if it's raining before entering the house. There is a hose on the first floor by the stairs to rinse off your dog and towels in a marked bin on the shelf in the laundry room to dry them off before re-entering the house. Please use the provided furniture covers and sheets located in the buffett cabinet below the swordfish in the living room to cover the furniture and love sac to help keep the furniture clean. Pet owners are responsible and liable for any and all damages done by your pets. Any additional fees for cleaning and / or repairs will be billed to the guest. BEARS AND OTHER WILDLIFE! Our beautiful location is located directly across from the Tates Hell State Forest, and Black Bears, Bald Eagles, Fox, Deer, Raccoons, and Oppossums are among many of the different wild creatures that are a common site during different times of the year. We have recently seen an unprecedented increase in Black Bears at our location, and you may occasionally see one of these beautiful creatures during your visit. Please DO NOT approach any wild animals you may encounter or attempt to offer food to them. It is illegal to feed any wild animal and can result in heavy fines from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Department and can pose a danger to humans. Please properly dispose of garbage in the trash bins and properly lock the latches on the bins to prevent any animals from getting in the garbage. Should you see that an animal has gotten into the trash, per FFWC you are responsible for cleaning up the trash to deter any additional animals looking for an easy snack or a fine can be imposed if not properly cleaned up. Any fines issued to the location will be billed to the guests who were at the location during the fined event. There are additional trash bags and latex gloves in the laundry room if they are needed to clean up any trash. PLEASE DO NOT leave any garbage set out on the decks or in the carport or breezeway below the house as this will attract animals
