The Log Cabin
Description
A restored 1700's log cabin in a convenient location to Shepherdstown and surrounding attractions. One bedroom upstairs with a queen sized bed. One pull out sofa in the downstairs living area. In the summer of 2018, we have added an intimate brick patio area suitable for alfresco dining and for fireside sitting. It is peaceful. It is beautiful. You will not want to leave. The space This is an authentic 1700’s Log Cabin which has been completely restored, adding all of the conveniences of 21st century living, including very adequate heating and cooling. It does have a fireplace, but it is only decorative. It cannot be used. There is lovely brick patio complete with fire pit. Guests are encouraged to enjoy this space as weather permits. We do not guarantee that there will be wood available for the fire pit. We do stack what we find when we are walking or mowing, but there may not be enough on hand to make a fire and keep it going . The local grocery store and convenience stores often sell wood that is specifically for fire pit use. Guest access The entire Log Cabin and surrounding property is available to our guests. It is a very private and peaceful setting in any season. Entrance and exit to the Cabin is a door on the side porch. The front door has an original lock and should only be used for emergency exiting. Other things to note There is a Keurig coffee maker available with organic dark roast K cups. Also, under the kitchen sink is an auto drip coffee maker. Please feel free to bring your special grind or K cups, as you prefer.
