Charming restored turn-of-the-century home in historic City of Poughkeepsie offers ideal access to waterfront, green spaces, and biking trails. The famed Walkway Over the Hudson is a short 1/2-block walk, and the area is dotted with restaurants and local shops. The train station is ten minutes on foot, and Marist College, Vassar College, the Culinary Institute and the Medical Center are a quick drive. Explore all the Hudson Valley has to offer (arts, dining, music, outdoor adventure). The space The space is located within walking distance (ten minutes) of the train station, the Walkway Over the Hudson, and a short drive to Marist College, waterfront parks and restaurants. It's also close to Vassar College, the Culinary Institute, the Medical Center, and a number of biking trails. Hiking, kayaking, and mountain biking are all nearby activities, and winter skiing is just shy of an hour's drive away. We are in a beautiful location to enjoy the changing seasons, and are within reasonable proximity to DIA in Beacon, art galleries in New Paltz and Saugerties, and Bethel Woods for music events. Guest access You will be on the first floor of a two-family residence. You have a private entry and use of the entire first floor. You have access to an enclosed back porch and the backyard, which backs up to the Walkway Over the Hudson. There is only on-street parking, but it is typically ample. Please note that due to the rising electricity and gas prices, we ask any Long-Term guests to agree to pay a supplement for the utility bill if it exceeds $600 in a month. This may be paid charged against the deposit or charged via the AirBnb payment request. Long-term guests should also agree to provide their own paper products (toilet paper, paper towels, tissues, etc.) and toiletries (shampoo, soap) once our generous supplies have been consumed. :-)
