The space We started our award winning B & B ten years ago, and in 2020 won Best of the Blue Ridge Best in Bed and Breakfast -- an award for the entire South Eastern U.S. Our lovingly restored farm house sleeps 12 adults comfortable in 6 bedrooms with five bathrooms. The brewery opened in the Cola barn behind the property in 2019 and has become a beloved local gathering spot for passionate craft beer lovers. And it has heart-- it's a scrappy, quirky, creative spot for everyone. Our friends say it's "A hug and a beer." Per Airbnb regulations, no parties or large gatherings are allowed in our house. The brewery space can host up to 75 people with advance notice outside normal brewery hours You'll walk into a generous parlor with a local soapstone bar with two fireplaces. Two ground floor bedrooms with private baths, one a California King and one a Queen. Upstairs are four bedrooms. 2 California Kings and private baths, a Queen, and a set of twins with a shared hall bath. The large, modern kitchen with all new appliances including a double oven, full range, large refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, and coffee-maker with insulated thermoses. We leave you a pound of our locally roasted, organic coffee and local half & half. The kitchen is stocked for cooks, by a chef. Our dishes are all handmade by artists. But if you want to take a break from the kitchen, you'll have the option to order from our catering menu-- all farm-to-table. (Terri worked as a chef for 20 years). Unfortunately, No Pets * Do not inquire about an exception to bring a pet (we tried, people). This is 15 room 4000+sq ft house, the cleaning fee is appropriate and supports a single mom and her daughter at $20 per hour. Catering menu and beer class options are available. Our brewery is on the property in the old COla Barn. It's an intimate space, unlike other local breweries. You'll be welcomed and served by the brewer. You'll get a free welcome beer when you check-in. Beer classes are available for booking. Can we talk about smoking? Lots of outdoor options and ashtrays. I am very sensitive and will know immediately when I clean. Please don't put me through the hassle. Thank you. Just be Cool. This means VAPing also. The outside is cool. It's winter now, I get it-- we've heated the gazebo for you! It is really hard to get smoke out of plaster walls! Outside. Other things to note Intolerance and judgment do not reside here. We ask folks to leave if they can't follow this simple rule. And please don't sneak in a pet. Just. Not. Cool. Fire Pit/Grill Safety: Nelson County is a heavily forested area and we do often have county-wide burn-bans. We'll let you know if one is on. Please practice fire safety & Do NOT leave a fire unattended. In the event you leave a burning fire unattended, you will be asked to leave immediately. We live adjacent to the property, fyi. This is serious. No Parties or Large Gatherings are Allowed at House, but you can reserve the brewery space to organize such parties. No Smoking-Vaping. No Cooking with Asfoetida/Hing. Please be mindful that other cooks will use the space after you. No Essential oils. No Charcoal soap, bath bombs, and no dying hair on property.
