Welcome to Rock Harbor Cottages. "The Boathouse" spent the last 50+ years as a waterfront storage shed. We were faced with a tough decision, tear it down or rebuild it. We turned it into an amazing cottage, not on the water but IN the water. The view is second only to the over sized 3+ person jacuzzi tub. Nothing better than waking up in bed and opening your eyes to the amazing view and hearing the sounds of the water. Close to dining, shopping, beaches, Cedar Point, fishing, and Lake Erie. This is a private not shared unit. Located on the south shore of East Harbor, providing quick and easy acces to Lake Erie by boat. Feel free to bring your boat, kayak, paddleboard, ect and use the dock at no charge. No vessel no problem, we operate a charter boat right from the dock at the cottage, its visible in the pictures at the end of the dock. You can also fish from the dock for panfish and bass. Local piers provide access to Lake Erie's famed walleye and perch. The Boathouse boasts a fully equiped kitchen... Fridge, stove, oven, coffee maker, microwave, toaster, cookware and dinnerware. To help keep our rates reasonable guests are required to bring sheets, pillow cases, and bath towels. Upon request linen service can be arranged. we do provide basic cleaning supplies, paper towels, garbage bags, dish and hand soap, and toilet paper. Entire cottage, docks, and main yard to play ball ect... Our family has been renting cottages since the 1960's, we may be new to Airbnb but not new to managing vacation rentals. We are not nosey owners and leave you to yourself. We may cross paths outside or on the dock. If not in the immediate area we are generally within a 30 minute drive if needed. Always available by phone. So many things to do within the local area... Beaches, boating, fishing, Kelleys Island and South Bass Island / Put in Bay Ferries, wineries, breweries, unique boutique shopping, restaurants, parks, waterpark, go-carts, putt-putt, drive through safari park, Marblehead Lighthouse, Lakeside Community all within 15 minutes. Cedar Point is less than 30 minutes away. Uber and other services can be nonexistent at times. Local taxis charge around $5 a person to get you around town.
