Private remodeled private basement studio apartment in a mountain community with private entrance & rear deck w/ common area fire pit patio, grill & smoker & laundry room. The space was completely remodeled in 2020 with a wet bar, LED TV with Roku, high speed internet and phone service and more. Home is located 4 miles from Harpers Ferry National Historical Park. Over 10 wineries within an approximate 10 miles & 20 breweries within an approximate 30 minute drive. The space **Please read this entire listing before booking including "Other Details to Note Section** This space is the downstairs unit of a split level house that has two separate living spaces (up and down) This unit has its own private entrance and private ammenities as well as some shared. Upon entering your unit there is a private semi covered deck that fronts to the forest with a table and chairs and other outside seating. French doors bring you into a large one room space that includes a wet bar, living area and bed and a private bathroom The wet bar area has cabinets stocked with basic cutlery, glassware, plates and bowls and paper towels, granite counters and a wine fridge, coffee maker with coffee, microwave and a refridgerator/freezer. (No oven) and a small pub table for eating. Living area includes a full sized couch and a loveseat with side tables, and an LED television with Roku that includes access to lots of apps for viewing (some of which will require your own private account) In the same large space as the living area is the queen bed with a memory foam mattress (no side tables or lamps by the bed) The private bathroom includes a sliding privacy door, a glass enclosed stand up shower (no tub) and is stocked with clean towels, wash clothes, toilet paper The unit has central air conditioning and heat but does not have direct access to the thermostat as that is controlled remotely, the space stays right around 70 degrees and temperature can be adjusted at request of guests. There are ceiling fans throughout the space. There is a laundry room with access to a full sized washer and dryer - This is a shared space with potential guests in the other unit of the house. Each unit has separate entrances and separate different locks and keys to access. This space also has extra cleaning supplies, blankets, coffee, towels, sheets, toilet paper and paper towels if needed during your stay. The space gives you access to an outside common recreational area that includes a fire pit, a wood shed stocked with wood for burning and an older charcoal grill. This is a potentially shared ammenity with potential guests in the 2nd unit of the house. We do not provide charcoal or fire starting tools. Parking is in a large common driveway with room for multiple vehicles (no street parking please) The house is in a housing community on the mountain with close access to the river. We do have neighbors so we ask our guests to please be respectful of our neighbors (no loud music or parties) There is approximately 1/2 mile of dirt and gravel roads to access this property which could include some potholes so please take care when driving. Non service animals are not permitted You have a private back porch and the fire pit and charcoal grill recreational area just outside of the porch is a common space, we ask that you please bring your own lighting tools and/or charcoal for the grill should you choose to use it and the clean the grill after each use. We ask that you please do not leave any open flames unsupervised. Guest access Guests will access keys via a lockbox near the entrance Other things to note We cannot facilitate late check out or early check in requests, no exceptions will be made. No animals that are not certified service animals (animals trained and certified to assist those with disabilities) are allowed of any type or size, no exceptions will be made. Evidence of undeclared, unauthorized or undocumented animals in the house will be levied a $200 charge after check out. There is a strict no smoking policy, any signs of smoking inside will be assessed a $250 charge after check out. This house is split into two separate units, you are renting the downstairs unit which has a separate private entrance from the other unit. We are cleaning this space thoroughly after each guests and we are following the airbnb covid-19 cleaning guidelines for cleaning and disinfecting so we need all of the time between bookings to properly clean before and after your stay. After each guest, we are disinfecting all heavily touched areas including door knobs, light switches, faucets, countertops, tables, countertops, bathrooms, remote controls, lamp switches, fan chains. Sweeping and mopping all floors, washing all used sheets, blankets, pillowcases in hot water after each guest. Washing all dishes with hot water. Disinfectant and sanitizer sprays are located in our laundry supply room for use as needed at the convenience of our guests. The house has a central heating and air system, however the thermostat is not accessible to guests in this unit. The air/heat is controlled by the host remotely and stays right around 70 degrees. This is a house in a wooded mountain community, you may be exposed to wild animals and insects during your stay. Approximately 1/2 of a mile of roads are dirt/gravel on the way to and from this property. The house has private parking in a large driveway that is shared with potential guests in the other unit. Guests agree to use the charcoal grill, smoker and fire pit at their own risk and their own liability. Full fire pit rules will be given to each guest and must be adhered to. By booking this unit, guests agree to all fire pit rules and accept all risks associated. We do not provide fire starting tools including matches, lighters etc so please bring your own if you plan to use. If you choose to use the charcoal grill and smoker you must provide your own lighting tools (matches, lighters etc) charcoal, lighter fluid. If you use the grill please make sure to completely clean using the provided wire brush and scrubber and discard any unused food etc in a trash bag. Excessive grill cleaning required by our cleaning staff will result in an additional cleaning fee. If you choose to use this fire pit, you take 100% responsibility for safely using such and full liability for damages resulting from negligent use. Please note that you are in a heavily wooded area with lots of wildlife, loose and falling leaves and sticks. Negligent use could lead to massive damage and/or death. The fire pit and grill recreational area is a common space, we ask that you please bring your own lighting tools and/or charcoal for the grill should you choose to use it and the clean the grill after each use. We ask that you please do not leave any open flames unsupervised. 1.) This is a shared recreational area with the upstairs and downstairs tenants so please share and play nice. 2.) Do not operate the fire pit under the influence of alcohol or drugs 3.) The fire pit must be attended and monitored at all times while fire is active. 4.) All fires must be completely extinguished before the fire pit area is unattended and the fire pit lid on. DO NOT LEAVE AN ACTIVE FIRE BURNING UNATTENDED 5.) Do not burn more than 2-3 logs at once, please use only provided logs or commercial eco logs. 6.) The fire pit lid must be on at all times while an active fire is going. All fire should be contained in the fire pit insert 7.) Never use any sort of igniting fluid including gasoline to start a fire 8.) Never dispose of hot logs, ashes etc, they must be kept in the fire pit insert with the lid on until completely extinguished. 9.) Please be mindful of surrounding neighbors and other guests in the house and please keep noise level down. No late night music outside please.
