This cabin is now SOLAR powered with a fully automated (touch free) standby generator as back-up. Fall Foliage is right around the corner! Come and experience the natural beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains in October! This cabin is located 10 minutes from Massanutten Resort! It is necessary to have front wheel drive or 4x4 in the winter to reach the cottage. The road to this cabin is not paved and is stone and dirt. Driving slow to reach the cottage is highly recommended. When there is snow on the ground, a 4x4 is necessary to reach the cottage. The cottage is small and cozy, perfect for a party of 2. The cabin will accommodate up to 4 guests, but can be very cozy. Sleeping accommodations consist of a Queen Bed and a full sized futon. Kitchen: Rivergreen has a small cooktop, mini-fridge, sink, coffee pot, cookware, dishware, soap and kitchen linens. Living/Sleeping Space: Queen bed, and a full futon. Pillows are provided. Bathroom: The bathroom has a stand up shower, sink and composting toilet. This is a water-less system. Please follow posted instructions. PLEASE NOTE! Due to the small size of this cottage, steam from the shower can trigger a false carbon monoxide alarm. Additional Amenities: Gas grill, AC and ceiling fan, wall heater, covered porch and private fire pit. ONLY 20 MINUTES TO ENTRANCE OF SHENANDOAH NATIONAL PARK! **Please note-we provide a starter roll of toilet paper and paper towels for your stay. You will have use of the entire cottage and outdoor areas. Once you book you will get a code to enter the cabin. We have very little interaction with our guests, but you can call if you need us. The cabin is located on a private working farm, thru the fields and down by the river. It is quite secluded and peaceful. Again it is a working farm so there is electric fencing. Be mindful for your pets and children. There is no public transportation in the area. Our check-out time of 11:00 AM is firm, as our cleaning staff have multiple properties to get ready for the guests who are following your stay. Guest will be billed at $100.00 per hour for a late check-out beginning at 11:15 AM. We do realize that sometimes packing can be cumbersome, and time consuming, however we want our vacation rentals to be sparkling clean for our next vacationers. We anticipate and appreciated your understanding of this check-out time. We are pet friendly and allow up to 2 dogs. Prior approval required for any other pet. Please be sure to include your pet(s) when booking your reservation. The cottage is in the middle of a field with electric fencing around the perimeter to keep cows out. Please be mindful for pets and children.
