The home is RIGHT around the corner from IOP recreation center which offers dog park, playground, soccer and basketball courts, and a toddler's park. It is close to great dining and the Mt. Pleasant's Towne Centre which has great shopping, the area's movie theater, ice cream shops and lots of other types of entertainment. It is just 12 miles north of historic Charleston. It is also a short ride away from the Isle of Palms Marina for a full-service Marina with boat rentals & charters. The beach is an easy walk away through the beautiful, quiet streets. Many guests also love renting a golf cart from one of the many companies that rent on the island Guest understands that voluntary participation in physical activities both indoors and outdoors, such as riding bicycles, using the gym facility, sauna, hot tub, bicycles and exposure to wildlife and walks, steps, paths, porches, and roads is at their own risk. With these, and all related activities, there is a certain element of risk. By accepting this waiver, Guest hereby acknowledge that participation and use of facilities and grounds are at Guest’s own risk, and that Guest assumes all responsibilities for any and all aspects of participation by both Guest and any children who might accompany Guest both on the property or while visiting the area. Guest understands that using the hot tub, sauna, bicycles and gym equipment are some of the available activities and following the rules for use is required. Hot tub Rules: Use of any hot tub or sauna, carries risk that may result in serious injury or death. NO CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 12 ARE PERMITTED TO USE THE HOT TUB OR SAUNA AT ANY TIME. The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologist (ACOG) state that becoming overheated in a hot tub or sauna is not recommended during pregnancy. Elderly persons and anyone subject to heart disease, diabetes, low or high blood pressure, strokes, epilepsy or similar afflictions should not enter the hot tub or sauna without consulting their physician. Never use a spa or sauna while under the influence of drugs or alcohol or if you are taking medications of any kind, or being treated for any illness. The spa should be kept at a temperature less than 104 degrees for personal safety and all bathers must shower before and after use to decrease the possibility of skin problems. DO NOT SIT OR WALK ON THE SPA COVER, or it will collapse. Walk carefully around the deck where the tub sits. Supervise children at all times to decrease risk on injury, death or drowning. Guests are REQUIRED to remove any suntanning lotions, body or face lotions or makeup from the areas of the body that will be in contact with the water. There is an outdoor shower that can be used for this purpose. If guests prefer to leave products on their skin while using the spa there will be an additional clean out fee of $100. Sauna Rules SHOWER BEFORE ENTERING NO FOOD, DRINKS, GLASS OR ANIMALS IN THE SAUNA 3 PERSON CAPACITY PREGNANT WOMEN, CHILDREN, PEOPLE WITH HEALTH PROBLEMS AND PEOPLE USING ALCOHOL, NARCOTICS OR OTHER DRUGS THAT CAUSE DROWSINESS SHOULD NOT USE THE SAUNA EXIT IMMEDIATELY IF YOU FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE, DIZZY OR SLEEPY NO CHILDREN UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE ALLOWED MAX RECOMMENDED USE IS 30 MINUTES Gym Rules Guest understands that engaging in any form of physical exercise, specially when using the gym area and equipment provided could pose a serious risk to the guest health or cause death. Guests agree to engage in physical activities at their own risk and guests are responsible for any minors who also use the fitness area and equipment. Bicycles Rules Guests will obey all local, state and federal regulations regarding the operation of this equipment on public traffic ways, parking lots, and in public areas, including but not limited to: A. A bicycle rider or passenger (including a child who is riding in a trailer or semitrailer attached to a bicycle) who is under 16 years of age must wear a bicycle helmet that is properly fitted and is fastened securely upon the passenger’s head. The property is outfitted with free helmets for the number of adult and children’s bicycles provided B. Children under 4 years of age, or who weigh 40 pounds or less, must be in a seat or carrier that is designed to carry a child of that age or size and that secures and protects the child from the moving parts of the bicycle. THIS IS NOT PROVIDED BY THE PROPERTY C. Please always ride in the lane marked for bicycle use if one is available. E. Because the bicycles provided are not equipped with the statutorily required lighting sufficient to allow riding in the dark, no riding between sunset and sunrise is permitted. D. Guest agrees to properly secure the bicycles at all times to avoid theft, damage or unauthorized use. This includes ensuring that all bikes are locked and properly secured when they are ridden to another location. Every bike comes with a lock.
