Closest Hosted House to the Gondola with Dr Seuss

Three bedrooms and two bathrooms are offered hosted to families and groups. We are listed under rooms because Airbnb does not have a category that fits my hosted rental and SLT refuses to acknowledge this. We offer North America’s finest ski slopes with shared/hosted house with fine artwork, comfortable classic furniture and many whimsical characters from the imaginative mind of Dr Seuss who brings back fond memories for all. Not only do we offer North America’s finest ski slopes, we offer a shared/hosted house that you will have almost complete access to with fine artwork, comfortable furniture and many whimsical characters from the imaginative mind of Dr Seuss. Dr Seuss brings back brings fond memories, delighting young and old. A bounty of clubs, casinos, shows, cinemas, boutiques, restaurants, sporting goods shops, art galleries, beaches, and mountain hiking will take your breath away are all in a 15-minute walking distance! Target with a fine grocery inventory is only a 5 minute walk. We are located on a secluded cul de sac only a 5 minute level walk to the fabulous Heavenly Valley Gondola. You’d have a longer walk from the parking lot of any resort. The Gondola takes you up the mountain where you can choose between skiing the California or the Nevada side of the mountain. In the summer, many exciting activities are accessed by this same Gondola. Restaurants abound. You have full kitchen privileges so if you choose to enjoy a meal “at home” from the well-appointed kitchen, Safeway is a 10 minute drive. Right at the end of the block is a public bus stop where you can catch a bus to take you to and from Sierra at Tahoe Ski Resort. I offer a spacious, home with 3 bedrooms, and 2 baths that can sleep 6 with an additional sofa bed and a futon for kids. This is my HOME for myself, and Bagel, my beagle You will have full run of the house except for the fourth bedroom which is my personal space and bedroom. Since this is a hosted rental, I will generally be there. I will be minding my own business so ion the winter you can wander around in your long johns. Of the 3 bedrooms- The Master Bedroom has both a lovely sleigh bed and a futon couch/bed that converts into a double bed which is great for parents with young children. It shares a full bath with the second upstairs bedroom. Downstairs you’ll find the 3rd bedroom & 2nd full bath sensibly located on the first floor – an ideal convenience if you hate climbing stairs after skiing all day, like to sneak in late from the casinos without waking anyone – or for guests with limited mobility. For additional children, the living room couch opens to a double-size sofa bed, and each bedroom has a smart TV. Off the entryway with its stained-glass panel, whimsical Dr Seuss taxidermies, and crystal chandelier, are the living room, and dining room. In the spacious and comfortable Great Room which is graced by 20-foot ceilings and a gas fireplace which offers the cozy ambiance of a wood fireplace without the work, and “spares the air.” Avid sports fans will love the wide-screen 55” flat screen smart TV as much as avid cooks will love the well-outfitted kitchen. It is centrally located to let the cooks cook and still join in the fun. Not only can you BBQ on the deck in the fully enclosed back yard, it is a great place to watch Fido play “frog dog” in the snow. The laundry room has a high efficiency washer and dryer. If I happen to be at the grocery store when you arrive, there is a secure lock box for outside key access. We have internet, wifi, cable, roku, and ps3. Fire and CO alarms are on both floors. A basic first aid kit is kept in the downstairs bathroom. A fire extinguisher is located both in the laundry room and on a hall shelf on the second floor. Please note that there is a security camera focused on the driveway in the front. There is another in the back focused on the back yard. There are NONE inside my home. During your stay, the security system will be turned off. and request that you ignore it. As of 12-1-2025, Airbnb no longer invoices booking fees to the GUEST. They have shifted that booking fee to the HOST to absorb. New nightly rates reflect that shift. For the guest, it should come out about the same, just with a less complicated invoice. Thank you for your understanding. We accept up to two (2) friendly house-broken pets with a one time extra charge of $50 per pet with an additional $200 refundable security deposit. The back and side yards are fully enclosed to provide additional privacy for my guests and their dogs and mine. Please notify me if your pet will also be a guest. Also, the Airbnb program does not provide for graduated cleaning fees so I am stating it now. For stays of 5 days or more, the cleaning fee will be $200. For New Year's and 4th of July due to the usual extra guests/ partying, cleaning fee will be an extra 20% ($210total. ) My apologies but recently too many have spoiled it for everyone. I cannot afford to continue to absorb the extra cleaning costs. NOTE: Two day minimum required normally. HOLIDAY WEEKENDS or PERIODS, I generally require a minimum 3 night stay.
