We put a lot of care into ensuring this is a comfortable, aesthetic and functional place to stay. 1 mile from Columbia State Historic Park, 5 miles to Sonora or Jamestown and Railtown 1897 State Historic Park. 14 miles to Murphys , 37 miles to Dodge Ridge Ski Resort, 50 miles to Bear Valley Ski Resort. 53 miles to Yosemite. The space Spacious, one bedroom house (650 sq ft), newly built in 2015 with vaulted ceilings and views of open space in the historic Gold Rush Town of Columbia. Private with fenced garden and patio. Central Air & Heat, Washer/Dryer, well-equipped kitchen. Filtered well water, views of open space out of every window. Very comfortable space to relax, work, or as a base for exploring the area. We permit up to 3 guests to accommodate small families, however, there is only one bed. A third guest can sleep on the sofa, or on the rollaway bed (stored in the closet), but probably most appropriate if the third guest is a child. House is scrupulously clean, well maintained and designed to take advantage of the natural setting. We can provide a guidebook filled with suggestions for hikes, activities and hidden gems in the area. Guest access Easy to access via short, dirt driveway. You have the entire house and fenced yard to yourself- we are up the hill on the same property, but you may not even see us if you prefer your privacy (we do share a driveway, so a few cars drive by during the day). We try to leave guests alone to enjoy their time here, unless they request interaction. Other things to note For your breakfast needs, we provide: A Keurig, a teakettle, a french press, a Melita cone ("pour over"), an Italian-style stovetop espresso maker (old-school), and a Mr. Coffee drip-style automatic coffee maker. We also provide some basic tea bags, Keurig pods, and beans, as well as a grinder, & some sugar/creamer. We also provide fresh eggs from our hens, pancake mix and maple syrup, so you can take your time in the morning. Additionally, there is a toaster, toaster oven and microwave, plus everything else listed in our amenities section. . . and more.
