Victorian Mansion in Historic Jim Thorpe
Stay in the garden level of an historic Victorian mansion in downtown Jim Thorpe. Built in the 1850s, the "Judge Allen Craig" mansion features a sunny enclosed porch surrounded by a panoramic view of West Broadway and the mountains, a spacious living room, large dining room that comfortably seats 10-12 adjoined by a breakfast room near the kitchen. The home easily accommodates up to 10 people, with 4 large queen bedrooms, 1 double twin bedroom, and 2 baths. The home is large and comfortable for a large family or group of travelers, with private parking for up to 5 vehicles. We have a back yard and patio with two grills, a fire pit, and a new bike rack, and we're located right in downtown Jim Thorpe. This rental is the entire first floor of the mansion and shared back yard patio, grill and fire pit. Contact us any time with questions about your stay. The home has a keyless entry system--no in-person hand off is required. We're located two doors down from the Mauch Chunk Opera House, just steps away from restaurants, bars, and all the history and outdoor activities Jim Thorpe has to offer. Parks (Hickory Run State Park, Lake Harmony) and ski resorts (Jack Frost, Big Boulder, Camelback, and Blue Mountain), Pocono Whitewater, Skirmish Paintball, Pocono Raceway, golfing, water parks and ATV parks are all within a 20-minute drive. We have private parking that fits up to 4 vehicles. The town is fully walkable, with historical and scenic tours, access to the river and walking/bike path, bike rentals and restaurants and bars all within a 5-10 minute walk. For more space, inquire about our second floor Balcony Level, which has a large, updated kitchen, two new baths, and three bedrooms that sleep up to 10.
