Tucked away in the Sierra National Forest, the Lodge at the Lake provides the perfect getaway to relax and unwind. From the moment you step foot into this beautifully furnished cabin, your cares will slip away and be replaced with the peace and tranquility that only mother nature can provide. Located in the exclusive Sierra Park gated community, there is an endless list of nearby attractions that are sure to provide lasting memories for you and your family! The Lodge at the Lake has a wrap around deck and outdoor furniture, barbeque, and fire pit area for entertaining. When entering the home, you will see several large windows and sliding glass doors allowing the beauty of the forest to surround you. Hardwood floors, tile, and carpet are throughout the home. A fully stocked kitchen, granite countertops, dishwasher, gas stove, microwave, and refrigerator allow guests to prepare meals as if they are in the comfort of their own home. There is also a Keurig with coffee and hot chocolate ready for use as well as pancake mix and oatmeal provided for breakfast. There is a large flat screen TV with access to Netflix as well as a library of DVDs and board games to provide entertainment for all ages. There is a loft/bedroom upstairs that contains a cozy and comfortable queen bed as well as a twin bed. Downstairs, the couch pulls out into a full size bed, and there is also a queen aerobed in the loft closet if needed. The Lodge at the Lake can comfortably sleep 7 adults. There is one bathroom that contains a bath/shower combo and comes fully stocked with shamoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion. A hair dryer and diffuser are also available for guests to use. The cabin has a gas powered stove that provides heat on chilly nights, and is approximately 1030 square feet. Guests have access to the entire house, patio, and fire pit area. One closet downstairs is locked for owner's safekeeping. In addition, there is a private lake for swimming, and fishing for kids 15 and under. A basketball court, playground, horseshoe pits, and barbeque area are also located within the community. Guests may use the messaging system within the Airbnb app or contact us by phone anytime. Our cabin is located in a quiet community in the Sierras. In the summer months, guests can enjoy swimming and fishing at the lake on-site. Pinecrest lake is about 15 minutes away. Activities guests can enjoy at Pinecrest include hiking, fishing, paddle boating, kayaking, horseback riding, and watching movies at the outdoor movie theater. In the winter months, guests can enjoy the sledding right outside the property or at the sledding hill within the complex, building a snowman, making snow angels, or enjoying a snowball fight. Guests may also travel to Dodge Ridge Ski Resort, about 15 minutes away, Leland Snow Park, or ice skating in Long Barn. Yosemite National Park is 78 miles from the Lodge at the Lake. Guests can enjoy backpacking, biking, rafting, fishing, golfing, horseback riding, rock climbing, ziplining, tasting and breweries, etc. Black Oak Casino is about 15 minutes away. Guests may enjoy gambling, bowling, arcade, live music, and great food. Columbia State Park is about 30 minutes away. Guests can travel here to enjoy experiencing life as it was during the Gold Rush. Kids can pan for gold, make candles, and even take a ride on the stage coach! Twain Harte is another small town located within minutes of the Lodge at the Lake. In this small town, guests may enjoy golfing, mini golfing, and a variety of restaurants and nightlife. Other nearby activities include Calavares Big Trees, Moaning Caverns, and wine tasting in Murphy's. The easiest way to get around is by car when leaving the gated community. Within the community, guests may drive, ride their bikes, or walk to get to lake, playground, or other ammenities. Parking: There is an area for parking directly in front of the cabin off the road. This accommodates two cars or one large SUV/Truck and a small car. All cars must be parked on our parking area. If additional parking is needed, you can park in the common area near the playground area at no charge. There is a gas barbeque on the deck area. We try to keep propane in the barbeque for your convenience, but it is not guaranteed. If you will be using the barbeque, we recommend you bring a propane tank for back up or have the existing tank filled. Wifi-We do have wifi, however, there is a monthly budget on data usage. We ask that you limit the amount of HD video streaming because once the data is used for the billing cycle, it will kick down to a very slow speed. Cell phone service-Verizon is our cell carrier, and it works great in the cabin. Most other carriers will not have reception in this area, so plan accordingly.
