The James River Cabin is a luxurious secluded cabin nestled among the trees on 95 acres of river front property. It is just 10 short miles from Springfield, MO (Buc-ee’s and Bass Pro) less than an hour from Branson, MO. On-site activities are numerous and include bicycling, trail hiking, utv trail riding, kayaking, fishing, hot tubbing, and swimming in your own personal paradise. The river access is a short but fun two minute utv drive from the cabin. The space This uniquely rustic, modern, yet child-friendly cabin provides a fully stocked kitchen (stainless steel Pots and pans!!) with keurig and regular coffee pot and lots of spices and pantry items. We provide a wood burning fireplace (and wood), outdoor fire pit and string lights, Propane grill, HOT TUB, three furnished outdoor living areas, covered back porch with roku tv, with king bed in the master and tasteful but comfortable decor and linens. There is a fun scavenger hunt along the trails in the woods, new in 2024. We provide a pack n play, baby gate, oscillating fan, baby monitors, high chair, a basket of toys, firewood, a few chairs for the river, UTV, two single kayaks, two paddle boards, two adult large lifejackets and two small child lifejackets (15-30 lbs), 8 life preservers (4 adult and 4 youth) and indoor/outdoor games. Please bring your own inflatables, fishing poles, and Bluetooth speaker to enjoy at the river. Goggle eye, bass and perch are frequently caught at the river using crank baits, spinners, worms, and minnows are what we use at the river to catch fish. The cabin’s architecture is thoughtfully designed and includes a cozy reading nook and work station. The cabin is very kid friendly with an outdoor playground and a locking gate for the back deck. This is a RURAL cabin surrounded by trees, bugs and wildlife. As such, there may be the occasional bug that may enters the home through bringing in firewood or the doors being frequently left open. If you are afraid of seeing an insect or wildlife, this may not be the place for you. Cell-service is spotty for most carriers, calls are difficult but texts go through. Fiber internet is installed! Grub Hub, Uber Eats and Instacart all deliver to the cabin! Guest access Private hot tub and UTV use. Outdoor shower added 2026! The cabin sits on 25 acres that has James River frontage. Owners have over 95 acres total. Guests have access to approximately 65 acres during their stay. Other things to note Please note: the cabin only comfortably sleeps 4 adults; however we provide a sleeper sofa, floor mattress, and pack n play that can somewhat comfortably sleep a few small children for a max total of 8 guests. Please message us to approve guest numbers over 6. We do not recommend the sleeper or floor mattress for adults. The cabin has one king bed that sleeps two, one bunk bed that sleeps two, a sleeper sofa that sleeps two, and a floor mattress that can sleep a small child . No pets or early/late check in requests please. We will notify you if early or late check in is available. Be advised that river levels fluctuate throughout the year and flooding does happen a few times a year which makes the utv trails sometimes unavailable and makes the current swifter than normal. We do not give refunds for weather conditions being less than ideal as this is out of our control.
