Riverhouse

Our Sauvie Island downstairs, two person, apartment, located just 20 minutes from downtown Portland, sits at the end of a road, with access to the Willamette River. Your 700 sq.ft. space includes a large bedroom, spacious living room w/ TV, couch and dining table where you'll enjoy your just picked fruit/vegetables from the local farms, along with our offered coffee. Bike around the island, stopping at the beaches, farms and bird sightings. Please no smoking or pets. The space This space is the bottom floor of our home, separated with its own private entrance. The kitchen is very small and does not have a regular stove. It does have a hot plate, a microwave oven, slow cooker, coffee pot and small refrigerator along with cooking utensils, dinner ware and pots/pans. There are no children living in the home. although we do have two small grandchildren who visit on occasion. The home sits on 3/4 acre of riverfront property that is frequented by large commercial ships, tugs, and barges. You cannot see the water from the apartment but the beach is only a 3 min. walk and one set of stairs where you will find two Adirondack chairs with a great view of Mt St Helens reserved for your use only. This beach is very private with only two other families that use it on occasion. There is no public access. Guest access There is no dedicated outdoor space for guest other than the beach. Other things to note We do have a dog and cat but they are never allowed in the rental space. Our dog (Augie) will bark at strangers but she is extremely friendly.
