Welcome to the Cottage in the Woods. This beautiful all one level home in the heart of Hatfield with a modern rustic charm. The house includes 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, Kitchen, Dining Room, an open Living Area with a fireplace and a game room. Master Bedroom has a luxurious private bath and each bedroom is uniquely designed. Property has access right from the driveway to the ATV/SnowMobile trails and just a short mile to Lake Arbutus for beach and fishing fun! Accepting reservations Now The space You and your family, guests or group will have a great time here! Its a wooden wonderland, where the deer often walk across the lawn behind the house. The house sits quietly among the forested area only 10 miles off Interstate I-94. The house is located in the heart of Hatfield, where you can buy supplies, rent boats, snow Mobile, ATV’s and jet skis. Check Arbutus Motorsports for availability. (Just ask for Barb or Kurt) Just 20 minutes away is the larger town of Black River Falls ( population 3,500). Black River Falls has many shopping areas. You and your family, guests, and group will have a great time here. It is an unbelievable place in summer and fall, as well as year round! The fall foliage is breathtaking and the lake has amazing fishing opportunities. The winter months it is a winter wonderland. Enjoy the ATV trails most of the year and even snowmobiling through the winter months. The trails are closed October 15- December 15th for hunting, and March 15-May 15 for Spring thaw. However during these times there is hiking, snowshoeing, ice fishing, hunting. Try you luck at the local Ho-Chunk Casino. Also try your ski skills at the Bruce Mound Winter Sports Area. Another popular area is Wazee Lake recreation area, known for its fresh water diving and underwater forest. East Fork Black River Natural Forest area, known for over 100 miles of trails and sightseeing. This is the perfect place to get away year round and to just unplug! Hatfield has 5 different bars/restaurants, a roller rink and several markets on Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day. The best pizza in the area is found at The Mug, which also hosts Taco Tuesday with taco pizza and taco bar. The Stones Throw has the best Friday fish fry for miles! Lake Arbutus which is a mile away, has a dock and boat ramp. The beachy park also offers grills, tables and shelters. The 160’ shoreline has a 30 -foot sand and pebble beach, and swimming is great as the lake bed is pebbles and sand. 100,000 acres of wilderness just waiting to be explored! Please use caution and common sense when swimming, boating, or using the house and grounds. Children should always be supervised, and wear flotation devices when swimming or boating.
