Hidden Gem In The Valley!
This beautifully renovated 1874 Colonial is located in historic Peninsula nestled deep in the heart of the scenic CVNP. Upon arrival, open the french doors of “The Blue Hen” and walk into the parlor. Select one of the four specially designed bedrooms. Each has their own private, impeccably clean and modern bathrooms. Utilize the full kitchen to prepare delicious meals to enjoy in the elegant dining room or out on the veranda. Enjoy internet, TV, games & books in the relaxing living room. Guests are welcome to enjoy the whole house except the basement. I live a half mile away, so if you need anything, feel free to contact me. Stroll right down the sidewalk to downtown Peninsula and explore this quintessential “one stoplight town”. After you hike the trails, bike the towpath, or ski at Boston Mills to your hearts content, take in some live music at the intimate GAR music hall, enjoy a tasty breakfast, lunch or dinner at Fisher’s Cafe, take an art class at the Peninsula Art Academy, check out the gourmet popcorn shop or enjoy a craft beer and wings at the Winking Lizard. WE’RE IN THE MIDDLE OF EVERYTHING! Even more options await you a short drive or Uber away. Head west and within a 10 minute drive you will find a Buddhist, Sikh, and Hindu Temple. Visit all three to find inner peace and a spiritual calm to balm your hectic daily life. Stop at Country Made Ice Cream for the best ice cream anywhere, or take a quick dip in The Quarry, a unique, natural swimming hole. Go east and in 10 minutes you will be in the charming town of Hudson, which has excellent renowned restaurants, a Heinens grocery store, and a wide variety of shops. You will find everything from women’s high fashion clothing to a charming old bookstore to a classic board games shop. You will also find a gastric pub and an exceptional wine cellar restaurant. Drive north and in two miles you will be able to enjoy skiing, snowboarding, and tubing at Boston Mills / Brandywine Ski Resort. Head south and in 12 minutes you will find Hale Farm and Village, as well as Blossom Music Center where you can hear a variety of musical artists, including the world renowned Cleveland Orchestra. Drive a little further to experience the impressive Stan Hewet hall. Peninsula is truly a destination you will want to explore year after year, and we hope that you will allow us to host your amazing experience in the Valley! There is plenty of parking at The Inn, and you can rent bicycles at Century Cycle right in town. PARTIES NOT ALLOWED, though smaller, “sedate, adult gatherings” are certainly welcome. Formal events require prior approval and will incur a nominal event surcharge.
