Feels like you're in the country. Lovely 1920's farm house built by the Carbondale Trainmaster. This is a 19 acre working produce farm just one mile from the SIU arena. Borders Marberry Arboretum. Great secure location for media or entertainment production vehicles. Lots of available open space for secondary footage shots. The space Completely refurbished after a fire in 2013, this beautiful home is quite comfortable. We are working on the exterior and immediate grounds to give you more space to relax and enjoy yourself. The area offers wineries, craft brewers, numerous hiking adventures in the Shawnee National Forest, Giant City State Park and the Arboretum next door. You will enjoy the 1st and 2nd floors of this beautiful house. Kelley and I live on-site in a one bedroom flat apartment on the lowest level with a separate entrance. Guest access Feel free to wander on the 19 acres. Though we are not USDA "certified organic", we use no harmful chemicals in our food production.
