Bluff Country Retreat

Private rural setting located on 80 acres less than 3 miles from the Root River State Trail and just 6 miles from Lanesboro. The house provides over 4,500 square feet of living space for family vacations, reunions, or group retreats for crafting, relaxation, or corporate events. A bunk house is available for rent if you need more space. There are miles of mowed walking trails that meander through the woods and grasslands for your enjoyment. The space Log sided home over looking the Root River Valley. Spacious kitchen, dining, and living areas with a total of over 4,500 square feet to spread out. If more space is needed to spread out or for extra guests we have a bunk house in the shed that is furnished with a kitchennette, queen bed, bunk beds, bathroom, and air conditioning, heat, and gas fireplace. Just let us know you are interested and we can send a quote for the combination. Pictures of the bunk house are included on AirBnB. There is a beautiful outside patio with a fire pit for your enjoyment. There are two dwellings on the property that we rent out. The bunkhouse is in a building separate and away from the house, 100 ft or so, it may be rented during your stay. It has a separate firepit area and does not share anything with the house other than trails. Property Rules •Please be honest. We reserve the right to verify the correct number of guests during your stay. •Please be respectful of the property. •If you plan to have Day Guests, we need to be informed in advance, and the fee will be $10/day/guest. •No campers or tents allowed. •PLEASE REMOVE YOUR SHOES WHEN IN THE HOUSE! •No Smoking in the House. Please smoke outside and dispose of cigarette butts in a safe and clean manner (do not leave them on ground). •No pets in the House - prior approval is required to have pets on the premises. •Stay on the mowed trails when walking, biking, etc. •The open grass areas are in a Government Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) to preserve wildlife and are not to be traveled on. •No motorized vehicles on the trails. •NO fireworks, the CRP area is highly flammable. •Stay away from the cliff areas at lookout points, there are bushes growing at the edge that can hide the drop and you could fall over. •There are deer stands located on the property, do not climb in them. •The owners are often around during your stay doing maintenance and may need to access the House. •We do not allow parties or loud noise. Sound travels far and neighbors can hear and will call us. No loud music and no outside music after 9PM. Respect our neighbor’s and other guest’s privacy. •If you use a deep fryer, do not use it in the house, cook outside with it. Guest access Guests have access to the house, lawn area, and walking trails. For access to the craft room, please reserve through the Bluff Country Retreat site. For access to the bunk house please contact us for a quote. Other things to note There are absolutely no parties allowed. If we find that more guests are staying than agreed to, the house is being used in manner that was not agreed to, or guests are not following the house rules; we reserve the right to ask all guests to leave without refund. We have had many groups stay at our place over the years without any trouble and they have loved their stay and we accommodate to those parties that agree to respect our property. There is a security camera mounted to south side of the house above the garage and the south side of the shed. They both provide a view of the driveway as you enter the property.
