Joten Lake Aces is a large private country estate with beautiful views and privacy. It is the perfect space for larger groups who want to share their time together. In this newly remodeled 100+ year old barn, there are two private entrances, three private queen bedrooms, three trundle beds sleeping six in twin beds, two modern kitchens, two open living rooms, a large loft with beautiful views and light, a small reading room and dining space for everyone. The space Joten Lake Acres and the Garden Level Apartment This great space and property can hold more guests when you need to by including the garden level apartment. In this newly remodeled 100+ year old barn, there are two private entrances, three private bedrooms with queen beds, three trundle beds with six twin beds, two modern kitchens, two living rooms, a small reading room and a large loft. It is also a great space for those wishing to get away into a beautiful county private estate and enjoy the beauty of the land and relaxing into the enjoyment of the company of all the guests staying at Joten Lake in Otter Tail County. * The renovated garden level has one bedroom with a queen bed, dresser, closet, and a chest for your home away from home experience. *The living area provides a long sofa, and a daybed with a turndle, which allows for extra sleeping areas. * Joten Lake provides bedding and linens for all your guests. f * A reading room that provides an area for you to relax and read a book or play your favorite game. * We have hand soap for sinks. We do not provide items needed for showering. *Modern kitchens are complete with a stainless steel oven, microwave, and dishwasher. Cooking utensils, pots, pans, bowls, so you can cook a fabulous meal or bake an outstanding dessert. Enjoy the outdoor * A metal fire pit with logs to sit on is provided. Plan ahead as you will need to bring your own firewood; but you're welcome to grab dead twigs off the ground as kindle! Just 6 miles from I94, There is MUCH to do in Otter tail County - see our website Joten Lake. Joten Lake Acres is located only 4 miles from the entrance of the Central Lakes Bike/snowmobile trail, 3 Golf Courses with in a 20 mile radius, Many lakes with in a 20 mile radius including Eagle Lake one of the CLEANEST lakes in the State of Minnesota. *Please note the barn is located on a large slough and has no formal swimming access. Guest access The Driveway is slightly long and windy and is comprised of gravel and dirt (as is Joten Lake Road that leads to the property -- it can be slightly muddy when wet!). There is plenty of parking for guests. Please drive slowly down the dirt road as it is very curvy and the area has a lot of deer. The caretakers are sisters who have grown up in the area and are just a phone call away, they will check in sometime during your stay to make sure everything is going great. The rental space is all yours, you have your own kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, and space! Keep in mind that the upper level and the grainery may be rented out at the same time, but there is a private entrance to this space along with a separate fire campsite for them. The laundry room is the only shared space located in the lower level with Jack and Jill doors. Feel free to use the laundry as needed -- and help yourself to laundry soap! The Grainery guest house has heat and AC but no running water or bathrooms. There is an outhouse near the Grainary. The door to the garden level apartment has an electric door lock, as do each of the private entrances of the Grainery; you will be able to pick your own 4 digit code upon arrival. There is a security system however we manage it to be off when guests are expected to arrive. We DO NOT encourage pets and yet if you bring your pet there will be a $100 additional fee. Other things to note The area has local dining, bike/snowmobile trails, fishing/ice fishing, hunting, other services like massage and local artists. There is a nature center in Fergus Falls, some great local museums in Alexandra and Fergus Falls. There are swimming areas and golf courses in the area as well -- we highly recommend Stalker Lake Golf Course about 15 minutes away; they also have a great dining on-site!
