The space Escape to sunset serenity at the Water View Getaway Suite, a private extension of the Water View Cottage perched on a bluff overlooking the Puget Sound. Ideal for romantic escapes, flexcations, proposals, anniversaries, or a quiet getaway, the suite invites you to unwind in a space designed for calm and rejuvenation. As you arrive, your own private walkway and front door guide you to the suite, where two additional French doors open onto breathtaking water views. The master bedroom offers a plush king-size Tempurpedic Sealy mattress with luxurious linens and pillows, a comfortable work desk, an accent chair, and a smart TV with streaming access. A private bathroom with a bath and shower conveniently ensures a serene start to finish of your day. Spa-style amenities are provided for an indulgent experience, including comfortable robes, slippers, and face masks. The suite is thoughtfully designed for relaxation, weekend getaways, business travelers, and guests looking to explore the Pacific Northwest. It includes a coffee bar, microwave, mini refrigerator, and essentials for light meals and snacks. *Please note that the suite does not include a full kitchen, no oven, no full stovetop, and no dedicated dining room table. The suite does have a microwave, toaster, hot plate, cutlery, plates, kettle, keurig and espresso cofee machines ( coffee provided) and beautiful live edge wood bar and coffee table. Many guests enjoy taking advantage of the excellent local restaurants, waterfront dining, and takeout options located throughout the area. Smart TV with complimentary Netflix, Hulu, and Disney+. Please note that traditional cable TV and HBO are not provided. Step outside to (an exclusive-use during guest stay) driftwood cabana with comfortable seating, a propane fire pit, barbecue grill, and a year-round Saluspa hot tub, all offering uninterrupted views of the Puget Sound and nearby islands. The Infinity Garden and front lawn invite morning coffee in the sun, quiet reflection, or simply soaking in the ever-changing scenery. Being so close to the SEA airport and flight path, Guests will hear airplanes overhead when outdoors. Privacy from the main house is protected with a sound-dampened door separating the suite living room area from the main house, and the master bedroom has its own door for a quiet, self-contained retreat. The suite offers one off-street parking on our homeowners private driveway, with a second available for prior approval. Conveniently located just minutes from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA), the suite offers easy access for travelers while still enjoying beautiful Puget Sound views. As with many waterfront communities near the airport, guests will hear aircraft overhead, particularly when outdoors. Smoking, vaping, and animals are not permitted anywhere on the property or in the suite. Guest access Guests enjoy the convenience of three private entrances to the Water View Getaway Suite. Prior to arrival, detailed access and check-in information will be provided for a smooth, self check in and hassle-free experience. The suite includes off-street parking for one car on the Water View House driveway, with a second spot available by prior approval. Guests have full access to the garden directly in front of the suite, including the Infinity Garden and the private driftwood cabana, which can be reached through French doors from both the living area and bedroom. All other garden areas beyond the dividing hedge are reserved for homeowner use. The suite is adjacent to the main house, but completely separated with a permanently locked door for complete privacy during your stay. Please note that a car or taxi is recommended to reach local stores, beaches, and sightseeing destinations. Other things to note Water View Cottage is our family's primary residence. Guests may meet or see homeowners family on shared house driveway and shared house gardens. Due to family allergies, the Water and Sound View Getaway Suite is strictly a no smoking, no vaping and animal free Suite. This includes no smoking, vaping or animals in the gardens, the main house and the suite. The house and suite share the same air system and animals and smoking will have a direct health impact on the homeowners family that live in the primary part of the house. We like to offer guests a Suite that has minimal artificial fragrances, natural essential oil air freshener sprays and laundry washed and dried in dye and chemical free laundry detergent. The cleaning team uses pure natural essential oils in the cleaning products for deep cleaning and fumigation. These oils can be toxic to animals especially dogs and cats. We ask that guests book elsewhere if considering staying with an animal or need to smoke as pet dander and smoke are a health hazard for the homeowners. Instant cancellation of the reservation for smoking and unauthorized animals. The studio is strictly a shoe free space. We ask guests to respect no shoes in the studio and please ask for slippers if you need some. Bromine is used in the Salu Spa instead of chlorine for those guests that may be allergic to chlorine. The studio is linked ( although locked off from) our home with normal home environmental sounds that may be heard from the studio living area during the day. The studio bedroom is soundproofed and is very quiet during day and night. Outside, guests may hear or see children at play on the garden swings, hear it see airplanes in the air above ( due to the location proximity to SEA airport) or local beach community noises drifting up from the water and homes below the Water View Cottage. The Suite is not ADA accesible and guests need to be aware of the step up to the Suite access doors and the step up between the Suite bedroom and living area. Please note that the suite does not include a full kitchen, oven, stovetop, or dedicated dining room. Guests will hear airplanes overhead when outdoors The guest suite does not have a kitchen sink, guests can request the dishes to be cleaned by host in main house dishwasher, or guests can scrape the food off dishes in to the bins provided and rinse off dishes in bathroom sink. Check in is from 5 pm. Earlier check in can be be considered on request and will depend on if there is another guest booked in the night before your arrival. Checkout is strictly by 11 am unless requested and agreed otherwise and will depend on if there is another guest booked in the night of your check out date. We ask guests to kindly leave the Suite clean and tidy on check out. Please make sure to let the host know immediately if something is broken or not working correctly. All damages will be taken from the security deposit. Although we endeavor to make sure there is sufficient propane in the tanks for each guest stay, Guests will need to personally refill propane tanks in barbecue grill and in fire pit if empty. Homeowners will let guests know where the closest refill locations are. The suite has no AC. The suite does have a fan and guests can open the window and French doors for cooler air on summer days. The breeze from the water and shade from the large cedar trees keeps the house cooler on a hot summer’s day. Cash can be left as a gratuity for the cleaning team on check out. Please do not leave a check. Beautiful local beaches and state parks only a few minutes drive away from Water View Cottage and Getaway Suite. Guests will need a car or taxi to access stores and local beaches and sightseeing. Guests do not have direct beach access from the Water and Sound View Suite. The Suite may not be appropriate for young children or toddlers due to our infinity garden on the bluff, glass ornaments and a white sofa. Please get pre approval from homeowner when planning on booking with children. Check in from 5 pm Check out by 11 am Remote self check in or face to face in person welcome available. Luggage drop off or early drive by viewings are not possible. All visitors and guests need pre approval at time of booking. All experiences or services are strictly prohibited. Immediate cancellation of stay with no refund if the listing rules are not followed.
