Cabin was built by my grandparents about 40 years ago using timber cut from the land. Cabin is about 5 miles from town but feels country. Road is quite, with just local traffic, local being the people that live on the road. Very quite setting. Great place to relax where ever you find yourself, wither it is in the house, on one of the porches, or in the yard. House also has a fire pit in the back yard, & a charcoal gill if you want to grill out. We are pet friendly! It is a genuine log cabin, With the logs you see outside also the log you see inside on the walls. It has a galley style kitchen, with a very large living room. Laundry is located in the bathroom, The master bedroom is very large, with a futon in it. The 2nd bedroom has a bunk bed with twin on top and double on bottom. Also, I am able to provide firewood, upon request. You will notice a 10% management fee added to all reservations through AirBnB. This is due to a fee being charged to me and additional paperwork I have to do. This is a direct response to the refusal of AirBnb to comply with Kentucky state law regarding the collection and remittance of local taxes. This is not the only listing of this property, but it is the only place with this additional fee. Guests have the entire house, and yard, with a fire pit in the back yard. For the duration of your stay I am available via phone or text. I also take care of the yard. The road is a residential road with very little traffic going down the road. The area is generally very quite. The road is black top, so biking on the road is possible. But having a car is recommended. Please be advised the internet is the fastest I can get in the area. The local cable provider still will not provide cable to the area. However, there is a t.v. with dvd player and a roku with YouTubetv in the living room. Both bed rooms have their own tvs with DVD players. There are several Redbox's located throughout town. While we are not on the lake, there are several, about 6 boat ramps within a 30 minute drive. So you can spend the day fishing, then grab a bite to eat on the way home. We also have a FB page, Grandma's Peace!
