Downtown efficiency apartment across the street from Taos Plaza The space Located on the "Garden Street" of Taos this little one block street is a mix of shops, four vacation rental apartments (all mine) and a restaurant. Town has begun to charge for all downtown parking. I suggest Church Lot on the corner for only $5 per day. Town lots free after 6 and Sunday. The Kitchen area includes refrigerator/freezer, microwave, coffee maker and toaster as well as dish and glassware for two. Be sure and check out "Melissa's Picks" posted on frig for a dozen restaurants within walking distance. Always call first to check out hours. The Reading Nook offers a comfortable chair, an array of books and reading light. Opaque blinds give privacy yet allow our wonderful Taos light to come in. The Dining Area is an antique table and two chairs with placemats and cloth napkins. The Bedroom space is quite delightful with a new queen bed, all new quality bedding, bedside tables, dresser and good lighting. This main room has a ceiling fan, an operable transom window, dutch door for summer use. In winter months there is a gas log stove and heated electric mattress pad. Please operate gas log stove with wall thermostat. Never turn off main gas line! The hallway has hooks for any hanging clothing. I'm loving the bathroom! It has a new tiled shower with my concept of random tiles and is bright and colorful. I provide robes, thick towels, soaps, shampoo, hair dryer and other miscellaneous bath supplies. There is a ceiling fan for ventilation and a small portable heater. This apartment as well as all the buildings on the street were build in the 1880's so thick walls keep it cool in summer and easy to heat in winter and always quiet-the beauty of adobe construction. I operated this space as a small retail shop until I realized that my true passion was Vacation Rentals, decorating and ensuring a pleasant Taos experience for my many guests. I now have eleven rentals including everything from this efficiency apartment to one bedroom apartments and one, two and three bedroom homes. All are in Taos and on Airbnb. As with all of my rentals I am dog friendly. I provide dog sheets for chair and bed in case your dog prefers furniture to the floor. I ask for a $10 per night dog fee to add when booking. I provide dog sheet to cover bed. I also provide high speed wireless Internet for my guests with User and Password information posted in a frame by dining table. All of this at a great location, reasonable rates, amenities galore and shopping in your own private space. Come visit and enjoy CASITA PEQUENA. Guests who stay for an extended visit are offered a discount when booking for a week or over 30 days. Guest access This apartment is only for guests who are renting so very private.
