Yellow Dog Retreat: Wine Country | Spire | GOTL

Yellow Dog Retreat is located in the heart of winery country in Madison, Ohio. We're located within walking distance to Baci Winery and are within about 1-mile of Cask 307, Stonegait, Hundley Cellars, Harpersfield and Benny Vinos! The Spire Institute is about 5-minutes away and Geneva-on-the-Lake and Geneva State Park, Marina and beach are located within about 15 minutes, which makes it perfect for a family vacation. The space The open floor plan is perfect for entertaining and the walk out porch is equipped with two patio tables and eight chairs. The back deck is equipped with two larger tables with seating for 8 per table (option for seating in the sun or under our shade sails). We can comfortably accommodate 10 guests with 5 bedrooms (4 queen bedrooms, and a trundle bedroom). Bathroom #1 has a bathtub/shower, toilet, and two vanities. Bathroom #2 is located off the mudroom and is equipped with a walk-in shower, toilet and vanity. We also have a fire pit with chairs but guests often bring their camping chairs. Sorry, please bring your own wood. We no longer provide it to our guests. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire house (with the exception of the garage and basement; sorry, those are my workspaces). Additionally, guests will have access to the grounds if you'd like to take a short walk. The house is located on 7 quiet acres and we actually live in the house approximately 250' to the east of Yellow Dog Retreat. So if you ever need anything, we are a short phone call away. Vineyards are located immediately to the west of the house. We provide a starter pack of toilet paper and paper towels but these are not unlimited. Other things to note Why did we call it 'Yellow Dog Retreat,' you ask? Well, because we're dog people and we welcome your furry friend along for 50$ per dog per 2 night stay(as long as they stay off the furniture). Please be sure to let us know if your furry friend(s) will be joining you. Many of the wineries have dog-friendly patios and we love taking our yellow labs 'Eddie' and 'Brucey' on adventures in the area. Hogback Ridge North/South, Riverview Park, Hidden Valley Park, and the Geneva State Park and Marina Trail are a few of Eddie and Brucey's favorites! If you have a question, please ask!
