You will love Havisham House, where 1892 meets modern luxury in a vacation home rental. This newly renovated home sits in the heart of the southern Illinois wine trail, Shawnee National Forest, Giant City & Ferne Clyffe State Parks (great hiking, waterfalls, pottery, etc.), Bald Knob Cross & Tunnel Hill Bike Trail. The space Havisham House is quiet, beautiful and relaxing... perfect for a weekend getaway to spend with your significant other, or grab your girlfriends for a wine weekend, or tour southern Illinois with canoeing the Cache River, zip lining the Shawnee Bluffs Canopy Tour, biking the Tunnel Hill Bike Trail or hiking one of the many trails. Our restaurants are fabulous! Guest access You are within walking distance of the popular local Quetil Trail, a bike ride away from two outstanding wineries, and a few minutes drive to Bald Knob Cross of Peace landmark. Other things to note Cell service... if you have Verizon, you're all set. Any other cell service doesn't get the best reception. We are in rural southern Illinois. But, we do have excellent high speed internet. There is a 4-digit key pad on the back patio kitchen door. You will be given a code the day of or a few days prior to check-in.
