A maximum of 2 guests total does not apply to any other booking. === In addition to the queen driftwood bed, there is an ultra-comfortable fold-down memory foam sofa bed, two plush double decker ship's berth single beds with individual lights, fans and privacy curtains, as well as a tri-fold memory foam floor mattresses for additional family or guests. We have installed a keypad lock which opens with a pin number you choose yourself for safety and convenience. 7 FREE KAYAKS (3 tandems, 3 singles, & 1 youth kayak), a 15 1/2' canoe, along with life jackets in all sizes are here for you to have a fabulous experience out on the water! Every day you can launch right from our property at high tide. Guests sometimes see seals who swim along with them nearby, or follow watching curiously, in addition to other wildlife. Enjoy the beautiful Alsea River and Bay, creating memories you will never forget! When the tide is out, wildlife visitors can often be seen, depending on the time of year. Most common are blue herons, egrets, grebes, mallards, and we had many pairs of mated Canada geese nesting right by our property. Eagles nest in a nearby tree, and are seen and heard flying overhead almost every day. Castaway Cove is in picturesque Waldport, located where the forest and our tidal inlet off the Alsea River meet the Alsea Bay. Note: We also have another listing on our property, A Little Bit of Heaven, in a different building, which also has its own private entrance, and is completely separate from our home. If you have family coming for a reunion or a group for some other event, booking both places would be a great way to go! We have several baby items available for our guests to use, so they don't have to bring a ton of things from home: = Pack n Play with sleeping mattress (or not) = high chair = booster seat = diaper genie = bed bumpers = disposable waterproof sleeping pads = baby walker with toys on the tray You are welcome to use our crab traps and clamming gear. Or you can borrow our beach chairs, beach towels, sand toys, large beach umbrella, and portable propane barbecue and/or our portable fire pit, both with all BBQ cooking tools, and take in the beauty of any of the gorgeous, unspoiled beaches minutes away that stretch for miles. Go explore the tide pools or go beachcombing for seashells and agates. Or take in some amazing storm watching, depending on the weather. Both the sea wall and the whale observation deck in nearby Depoe Bay offer spectacular views! We are easy to find with Hwy 101 a mile and a half away, and there is ample room for parking. Please note that sometimes during the day, road noise might be able to be heard. Guest access INSIDE: The well-equipped small galley kitchen has everything you need for cooking! Included is a cool retro look 7.5 cu ft refrigerator with freezer, countertop oven which will cook a 12" pizza or a 9" x 13" pan, 2 cooktop burners, toaster, microwave, dishes, utensils and silverware, pots and pans, bakeware, basic spices, coffee maker, coffee grinder, French press, teas, regular and decaf coffee, creamer, quick breakfast items & more... 12 additional appliances for you are on shelves in the laundry room - a large air fryer, a blender, 12" x 12" square electric skillet, large electric griddle, medium and small crock pots, Instant Pot, waffle irons (including a Mickey Mouse one), rice cooker, pizzelle maker, breadmaker, & electric hand mixer. For outdoor cooking options, we have a portable fire pit you can take to the beach or use on the property, a round metal fire pit in our backyard surrounded by chairs, 2 chaise lounges. 2 lawn swings and small tables, a small portable propane BBQ you can use on our property or take to the beach, and a charcoal BBQ grill, each with lots of cooking utensils, along with a 200,000 BTU outdoor propane gas cooker and giant pot for crab, a corn fest, or whatever else you come up with. There are two flat screen 32" TVs, DISH & Nexflix, Wi-Fi , two Blu-ray DVD players, movies and books, 4-drawer dresser, luggage rack, hangers, plush spa robes, blow dryer and more... Outlets throughout Castaway Cove have USB outlets for your various devices. The laundry room is also free to use at your convenience, and includes basic laundry supplies, iron and ironing board.
